We'll be doing this before Easter so if it comes out good, I'll put up a picture and if it comes out bad we'll put up a picture.
As soon as I saw the title for this thread, I said to myself now there's gonna be some good pics in this one!!! Ahem.
Just about ready to put 4 loaves of raisin bread in the oven. Looking forward to pics of the Italian bread.
We'll be having the bread with Chicken Cacciatore for Easter with Berried Delight for dessert. Backwoods Savage , papadave Berried Delight Recipe/ we don't use mint and the boss said she uses more wipped topping. This is very "GOODER" INGREDIENTS 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1⁄2cup sugar, divided 1⁄2cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine, melted 1(8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2tablespoons milk 8ounces whipped topping, divided 4cups strawberries, halved 3 1⁄2cups cold milk 2(3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla flavor instant pudding and pie filling mix (4-serving size) DIRECTIONS Mix crumbs, 1/4 cup of the sugar and butter in 13 x 9-inch pan. Press firmly into bottom of pan. Refrigerate. Beat cream cheese, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons milk in large bowl with wire whisk until smooth. Stir in 1/2 of the whipped topping. Spread over crust. Top with strawberry halves. Pour 3 1/2 cups milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Pour over strawberries. Refrigerate 4 hours or until set. Just before serving, spread remaining whipped topping over pudding. Garnish with additional strawberries and fresh mint.
That sure looks better than the fried take out I was fed this evening. Ate some, then left it. Take out just isn't interesting. Wife won't cook because she too isn't feeling good.
Had homemade sausage ravioli this past Sunday, for Easter we are doing chicken parmesan, Fettuccine Alfred, and lasagna. Homemade bread sounds good will have to add to the menu. We are doing Easter on the 9th, late this year so everyone can be there.
It will have doubled in size by 11:33, I'll punch it down and knead it again for about 5-10 minutes before we let it rise again before we put it in the oven. We let it rise for two hours.
The baking of the bread is getting closer yooperdave , I just hope it taste good..........enough butter anything taste good!
It wasn't what I was looking for but it did taste good, the wife liked it so that's all that matters. We'll be adding some sugar, and olive oil with some other ingredients to the original recipe. Once I get it to come out with a golden brown crust, I'll put up the recipe.
