Welcome aboard Jim. This one of mine works really well with corn and I have run some Rye seed threw it as well.

The new impeller will work on the old motor.. So long as it will loosen and come off.

Welcome to FHC!!!! And ask as many questions as you have!

Welcome. :handshake: Sorry that I am bit late in replying. Been a touch busy lately.

Fahrenheit Tech sells the igniters. But they are pricy. Call and ask for Matt. He'll set you up.

Bit of a suggestion though. Make sure the igniter is cooked. I thought mine was but it was both plugged with crap and turned in the wrong direction so it wasn't directing the heat towards the burn pot.

You could be eligible for the LED upgrade if the furnace hasn't had the upgrade for a recall. If it's already had the upgrade prior to the LED panel you'll be S.O.L like I was LOL. Talk to Matt though, they have all the records on that.

I second this. Mine likes corn as well. I did a 50/50 blend of corn and wood pellets as a test and I got quite a bit more heat out of the unit.

Hey Ban go for straight corn and forget the pellets if you can get it cheap enough. I think I will be doing the rye seed next year as my main fuel because it works well to, just a little more ash and cleaning that's all. I like the corn but it cost more and the rye works just as well. At $40.00 a ton less that equals more :cheers::cheers: for me, just sayen

I was thinking on doing a straight corn test just to see how it works. Honestly though, I like that with burning the blend I can get the heat, leave the stove at the premium setting and get a really clean burn with no big corn clinkers. Which means less stove cleaning lol. But I'll definitely try it though. Place I'll buy corn from is $220 per ton.

The corn setting cleans about twice as often, so you go to level 5 for 40 mines twice in 10 hours. Rather than once in 10 hours. So you do burn added fuel to get the added heat. If you burn at level 5? It won't matter. But I'm at level 3 until we get into single digits.

Yeah I typically only burn at level 2 or 3. I use the 50F just to keep the basement warm and warm the floors for the first floor. Next winter it will be tied into the heating ducts then it'll rip on 4 or 5 probably. We'll see though. I'll probably still run it on 3 unless really cold out. It's a lot different when the unit runs all the time because it heat soaks everything vs just having a furnace come on and have to heat the house up in a few min.

I just run mine when the temps are staying low to warrant the usage. Been off for a couple of weeks now or probably longer. It is down for the year and will be yearing it apart to make more S/S parts and deep cleaning. The Harman has picked up the load these days. Oil furnace ran some to make sure everything is ok.

Nice, doubt I'll run mine anymore unless we get more really cold weather. Though it I do more drywall I'll run it, works great to speed up drying drywall mud. Just have to make sure it's off when sanding time comes!!!

I've never used my furnace in the shoulder season. Ever! Never used Fuel mizer (On/Off mode). But after seeing my BIL use it the last 2 years and my Upstairs stove has been making a noise that wakes the dead? I'm all about it.

I run a 2° swing (each way). Stat set to 68°. So it has to drop to 66° to kick on and kicks off at 70°.

Probably gonna use the Fahrenheit a lot more now based on how nice the Fuel mizer works! This used to be a COLD weather tool! Now it's a whole house heater all the time! I love it!!

For sure. May as well use it if you have it. Once I get mine dialed in and tied into my HVAC I think it'll be the main burner with the P61 being the top up. Need to get better heat out of the 50F before that happens though. Once I get the time and I don't need it to warm the basement up I'll pull it down and do the next round of mods.

Hey guys...visited Don222 Friday night so that he could hook me up with a larger impeller and exhaust motor. He's just a couple towns over and it was a great chance to meet a fellow forum contributor. Don was great to deal with and is very knowledgeable...he completely set me up and tested the exhaust fan before handing it to me. All I can say is WOW!!! His kit is very powerful and very quiet. I think this will be an excellent upgrade to the 50!!!

I put one from Don on my Endurance 50F and love it!. I've also done several other upgrades and mods.

They are great furnaces once you get them to burn efficiently!

I hear ya Dex...done a few you suggested...now going up a notch...will modify the manifold, install updated sail switch, seal all air leaks and build a custom stainless pot/door/pusher...add the larger fan & stronger motor I'm hoping to get this this to perform like it should...

I was gonna tinker with my auger bushing but I'll let it run another season. I did get a small amount so no big concern at the moment. I hesitated on a newer furnace #3252 for a $1000 the other day and been kicking myself since:picard:Getting ready to clean my glass from the foggy syndrome:Dand have a clear view of what's going on:binoculars:in there:smoke:

Finally got around to installing updated sail switch & exhaust fan set-up from Don222...so far pretty impressed. Getting a nice burn with my leftover crappy NEWP pellets...weather in the 50's with 98+% humidity. I'm actually using the air dampener again!! This new set-up is so much quieter than the stocker. My stock sail switch was heavily corroded and most likely not opening all the way. Gonna see how it runs on a dryer/colder night before attempting any more upgrades. Still need to build my life-time SS pot...tired of fixing the stock crap!!!

First burn of the season after a clean and lube job:rofl:
House was at 66 over the weekend so I had no choice. So nice to have great heat, running fuel mizer and it only runs 1 time a day for now. Today it was nice out and it didn't run at all.

You never used Fuel Mizer? I have mine set at 68 sometimes 69, with a 2 degree swing. 71 inside feels perfect this time a year.
