Yeah. Part of why I bought it. But I have still been thinking of leaving the 550xp in the box and just running the 545. I have heard both stories. The 545 is a dog compared to the 550. And also heard that it's darn near neck and neck. I can say that the 555 and 562 are pretty darn close. They are only about 10 cc more and detuned the same way (crank stuffers). Don't know what I am gonna do yet. I had money in my pocket. It can set there to long, or a hole will get burned in it Then I won't have any at all.
To be honest? I have no idea what the designation is or their job. Never read into it. I do know that the 562xp has them and the 555 does not (both the same saw, but 55 is detuned and lacks stuffers). And the same with the 550xp and 545. They are the same saw, but 550xp has stuffers and 545 does not (no rev boost and small tranfers) I can try and find a pic.
So a stuffer increases power I guess? Is a 545 a newer version of the 445 I have or is the 445 a home owner saw and 545 a mid range?
No. The 545 is just a detuned 550xp. Nothing in common with the 445. Just got my 545 in today. Once I get bars on it and the 550xp. I will do a side by side comparison. Yes Jon, they is a great example. Here is what they look like out of the saw.
Oh. Forgot. Pics of 545. Got a screaming deal on this one. And then pics with its faster brother. On the outside, the XP (550) has Grey and orange, where the standard model (545) is all orange. Couple saws are missing from my box. The 441 is still in TN and the 55 Rancher will be on my basement bench for probably another week (waiting on Caber ring)
Keeps them locked up. One lock on each side of it and they are almost impossible to cut the way that the locks are concealed. $25 at a garage sale.. They cost around $300-$400 for this size. Or at least the ones at TSC and HD. They ain't worth locking up 38 cc is on the floor next to he lock box and the 45cc is on my bench in the basement. If you wanna see it?? My bench is a mess right now. The Quake has been put on the back burner. Had the two 036's to do and now the 55 Rancher.
Why do you lock your guns up inside? Anything worth value should be locked. I am not nieve when it comes to robbery. If I pay more than a few hundred dollars for something? I am going to protect my investment. It's in the garage and bolted to the floor. Heavily bolted. Heavily locked Just sayin. . .
Nice good idea! I'd do it if I had a box. Is it like one of those metal construction boxes? Do you lock those TV's up?
I got it the, TVs are bait so there so happy when they find them they don't go looking for your saws and find them cause there disappointed that they did not get anything.!!
