The defeat of the other nominees was stupendous. It was published on the front page of most newspapers.
Yes we haven't been doing to much planning yet but TurboDiesel has offered his grill and smoker along with other catering equipment so I think we have that covered. Scotty and I have been working on some ideas for what kind of a layout and activities and some guys have offered to help set up the week of the gtg. I'm not on alot but if we have any changes I will make sure and post. Hopefully the guy upstairs is a chainsaw and firewood junkie and cooperates with us that weekend. I know it's a holiday weekend and people need to make plans of what they are doing so I won't cancel and mess everyone up last minute. My young nephews are excited for it and can't wait.
That's the plan I am thinking about having people post what they want to bring so we can get a good variety but no one is obligated to bring anything more than there self. We should have the meat covered.
I'm going to save some people the trouble of searching this out....Somewhere it was said that Saturday would be the "main day". This is still the plan right? Thanks for everything!!!
Yes Sat is when we expect the most people. I'm off all week so people can show up anytime Friday and figure most will be gone by Sun. I know a few want to camp so I hope the weather is good.
To my knowledge. Sat is the GTG.. Friday night would be for those who want to sit around a fire and camp out, as well as those who have a pretty far travel. Same goes for Sat night into Sun. And clean up Sunday, for those that are willing. This is pretty much the plan? cwn877 and Scotty Overkill can probably elaborate more.. Edit: I see a couple posts were made when I was typing... lol.
Are you going to need help setting anything up on Fri. to prepare for Sat? I believe I read earlier in the thread that an address will come via PM.
I am appreciative of any help that I get. I hope to chop the corn stalks and clear an area for a fire pit earlier in the week or week before. Friday should be getting the layout sorted out and getting a game plan. We have a skidsteer, loader, and Polaris rangers for the heavy work put people and ideas are welcome.
