All the HD online ads for the NC-30's and some other stoves have a little tag saying "New lower price" like that might stay?

My stove is local as of 6 AM this morning per the tracking number so I'd say I'll have it sometime later today. Just waiting for the call.

My driver called the night before, but I missed the call.
He called again in the morning saying he was on his way. Got here much earlier then I thought.
Gave me some time to "Ooooh and Ahhh"......and take out the bricks, remove the door, etc., before my help arrived.

I'll say this for the tracking of an order Home Depot uses.

Totally useless. Most of the posts/updates on the tracking site would be posted with a time of over 10 hours in advance....meaning, if it was local time of 11:00 a.m. the post would say arrived at chicago (same date) but the time would be 10:30 p.m. or even in one case, 1:30 a.m. but it was the next days date on it!

It showed it had arrived in a town that was 2 1/2 hours away from where it actually was, also.

But, yeah, the sale is still going on!

I'll get some posted asap. It's been a very busy week with work. Plus posting pictures is a hassle for me since I am having problems with the I Cloud deal where they get stored and / or not making it there. It looks just like every other NC-30 if that helps you paint a mental picture. LOL!:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

I will not be using it until this coming fall and will get it installed sometime this summer or early fall.

I'm on the same time frame for using it as you, Bags!

I intend to give it a close inspection of welds-just in case I need to make a phone call about them.

I've got a broken firebrick...wasn't broke during shipping either because it has black paint overspray on the broken face...me thinks mine wasn't one of the ones QC pulled out for an inspection

If it's the one up front on the r/h side by the latch, it's supposed to be like that.
If it's a different one, ignore me.

Really? It is the right front brick. Boy, if that is for clearance of the latch...that's really crude...they could at least cut a notch in it instead of just whackin a hunk out of it with a BFH. I'll hafta look at it a lil closer

When I first got mine, I replaced that one with one of the many spares I have because I thought the same thing.
Ended up putting the original back in.
It was discussed a bit in my install thread from March of '14.

Yup, looks just like that. I'd still prefer to see them notch a brick for clearance instead of just knockin a corner off and calling it good...seems kinda "unpolished"

Once the stove is up and running, you won't even think about it!

Well, here it is wvoer a month later and the stove is still on sale for $519! Unbelievable!
HDRock how did you ever stumble across this deal in the first place? Is there some type of search engine you can use for any given piece of equipment on the HD site?

Thanks again for letting us know about the deal. I think there were three who took advantage of it?

For the price though? And the kinda stove the 30-NC is? It's hard to argue that one brick!

    Heck of a heater!

I'm surprised the sale is still going on! These are amazing heaters! You could install 3 or 4 for the price of a nice soapstone or Cat stove!!
