I did the whole ordering thing over the phone. Later, I cked the credit card to make sure the charge was correct. It is! It was just a month ago I bought two tons from Lowes at $199 a ton and thought that was a good deal.
My concern is what price they will be next fall or even if they will bother with them. Hard to say, but at 100 a ton, I doubt I can go too far wrong. Space is my issue. These will go under cover, but not in the garage.

I stuffed 114 and might pad that with another 10. Talkin with the weekend manager, he told me that they are pulling pellets from other stores to this one as it has a big outside storage lot. This store had 5555 yesterday and now has 9999 on site(less my haul and the ten or so others in front of us)....

I should be able to easily score more if they keep haulin from store with no storage to this one. Specially if they don't move what they think they should and continue the sale a bit longer. I'll burn and stuff as I go a bag or 2 at a time. I drive right past em everyday!!

He showed me the outside storage area and then the inside storage(wasn't supposed 2 as its off limits to the public) as I was checkin for Timber heats(again)..Saw a mountain of pellets most I have personally laid eyes on!! Anyway he said the outside stuff needs to move and the inside stuff they will pick from all summer as they do sell even in the summer(pellet grilles I guess?). I got to pick a dry inside GS ton to pick my 30 off of . The lift driver tried to remind him they need to get the outside stuff first. He just laughed and said "they been waitin long enough. Grab that one there and get em loaded!!" I like this guy, He might be my new best friend!! ;)

Don't think we'll see this deal again Larry. Load up quick like.

I also bought from HD with the $199 deal. I just averaged all my hauls and I ended up with 80 bags at $3.98 and 114 at $1.99.... So that ends with an average of $2.81 cents per bag. Best way I could look at it. But man I wish I had waited and got all my booty from Lowes!!

At less than $2 bucks a bag?? They will burn dandy with the dollar factor!!

With every bag ye burn its like putting 2 bucks(or more) in your pocket. Payment for cleaning and at worst you'll need to turn it up a lil. I think anyone that passes on these might be kicken themselves down the road!

The five tons that I've gotten in the past 5 weeks averaged $179 ton. Two of those are the Oakies that I got from apexpellet. Not as good as some of you have done, but I can live with it!

All the brands available to Lowe's for $99 I would be happy with in my stash.

I have burned about six bags if Timber Heats that were in less than perfect shape and they are doing just fine.

I have picked up 8 tons this winter (3.6 softwoods and 4.4 lowes) paid an average of $144 a ton, not too shabby. Once the 4 tons hit my basement maybe at my max capacity.

your two tons ahead of me. Had I bought more, I think I would have really pushed some buttons with the storage issue! In any event, this is good and win win. Oink Oink Oink!

Just a PSA for anyone that caught the $199/tn sale from Lowes last month. If you bought less than 30 days ago they will price match today's price (ie, refund). I just got back from showing my receipt for the 2 tons I bought on 2/27 and got my cc refunded $198. If they say they don't at the service desk, have them check with a manager - they don't appear to be spreading that little tidbit around so if you don't fight for it, you may not get it.

Lowes policy is to pricematch anything that goes on sale within 30 days (found out from someone else this morning). Too bad my first 2 tons were bought on the 15th - oh well, still the lowest price I had paid for pellets prior to this week, so won't complain.

I've gotten 11 tons in the last 5-6 weeks. Including the 3 tons of Okies that I also got from apexpellet, the $70 delivery charge I for the 4 tons I have coming, and my rebate this morning from Lowes - I will still have only paid an average of $154.55/ton. Can't beat that with a stick!
