Awesome stuff the Ramones..the power of three chords! :)

I read that when they started they wanted to cover Beatles songs, but weren't good enough musicians to play the music. :)

The Ramones- "technical musicians" they were not. :) It was something else with their music and the generation it was speaking to.

I see you're new...but I like you already! Replacements are my favorite 80s punk/alternative band.

Buick 6, Lucinda Williams current backup band. Now on tour, they come out as the warm up act and play the first set as themselves. Can't really classify them, they play a unique blend of Blues, Country and Punk. Nothing against Lucinda but I personally think that their set was better. If you can get to a Lucinda show do not be late, you want to see this band.

This acoustic shows off how good she is vocally. A very talented singer with a hard rock edge (easy on the eyes as well). My kids were raised on classic metal and hard rock. Somewhere I have a vid of my daughter head banging to Iron Maiden before she could walk lol. :dex: Things have come a long way for woman in rock music since the days of the Runaways, Pat Benatar etc. First time I heard Taylor's music I thought wow my daughter would like this. I watched a few videos and thought jeez, I hope she doesnt discover The Pretty Reckless for a few years yet! Im pleased to see any young person or group learn how to play an instrument and to actually sing no matter what the genre of music. Good pick gbreda

Agreed on all points. That is awesome that your daughter is being schooled on old school rock . Maybe I am sounding like our parents and grandparents but I really dislike what today's young generation is listening to.

I somewhat dismissed this band after hearing the heavy radio play of Heaven Knows. It is a catchy tune that is good but more of an ear worm than a #1 Rock song that it was being touted. After I then heard Follow Me Down to the River, I started searching out more of them and found out how diverse they really are and how good Taylor Monsons voice is.

Women really have come a long way in rock. Lizzy Hale is another example. If you use Pandora, put on Pretty Reckless radio and you will hear quite a bit of good female led bands.
