Coffee sounds good, but it would only amplify the insomnia this late in the day.

At this time of day, even de-caf doesn't help.

I'm grateful to not have that issue, I can drink regular coffee as late as I want and not have an issue.

And keeping with the thread, I just came in from the snow outside and loaded the stove with doug fir. My postings on this thread are predictable... its either lodgepole pine, fir, birch or larch....

Right where I want to be.
Put a 6 split load of Maple in the stove before bed last night. OAT was 31 this am, and the IAT was 70.
No fire yet. I should clean out some ashes today.
I'm thinking I got a little crazy with the big splits a couple years ago, as that's most of what's in the shed right now.
All I really need is a few small pieces to take out the chill and then let the warm stove carry the day, but nooooo, I had to go and make huge splits. Must be time to make big splits into small splits.

    45 when I got up
Still quite toasty from overnite fire. May let it go out.
Looks like come Friday temps are gonna drop to more normal levels. I figure about 30 more days of steady burns then here and there to take the chill off. May have to add inventory to the wood room.
My dog coop/entry project may happen. I have the inside dog box and entry hole cut/ready just have to get more wood out of the attached shed to make the outside entry.
