I finally located the clothes dryer I ordered last month, it's been sitting in a depot in Cheyenne for a couple weeks..... Guy called today to deliver and was difficult. I asked him to call WWW instead ( he wanted to know about the road conditions and I told him there was no snow here on the roads but he insisted he would get stuck in the snow, huh? ) So, not sure what transpired between them but he ended up dropping it off at WWW's work instead of driving out here. This means more work for WWW that has zero spare minutes per day, guessing WWW must have had the same creepy/lazy vibes from that guy and did not want him out here anyway. So, *might* have the new dryer installed this weekend or next :)

That would be a nice trip at this time of year. Everything still grey but warming. I was in the greenhouse yesterday and had to open up the doors and a vent after the temp's got to 95*. I got the rest of the strawberries planted. The plants were dormant at stored at 28*, the one's I planted the day before had already started to green up.

We get those hurricane force winds often enough. Mid coast area often gets hammered with the storms. Can knock a few trees/limbs down and cause power outages. Why anyone would live here and have trees that can fall on their homes is a mystery to me. Cut them down. Plenty of others to see.

Overcast, With rain later today. Still nice not having to scrape the windows on the carr or having to start to warm it up. Saving some gas $$$.

Price of gas is up $0.08 since last week.

Awesome not having to warm up the truck this morning! I think gas has gone up close to 16 cents since beginning of last week. Certainly has gone up 8 cents since Monday.

When I found this property and showed it to the wife, her first complaint was there were no trees. We're surrounded by farms. Up here if you have a piece of property with loads of trees, you will also have a load of black flies in June. The negative was the crazy winds we have with no wind break. We added a couple of Blue Spruce trees that are now helping to break the wind. We will be adding a few more this spring. Does anyone have experience with Techny Arborvitae?

Lost four 100-footers in that last wind storm. After I heard the first one go, I slept downstairs because I knew they could reach the house if they fell the wrong way.

Awaiting the magic words Out For Delivery from FedEx, but I won't see them until their available on the interweby system is sorta fixed. The package is on the truck for delivery however. Maybe my online issues will be fixed sometime today as well. Still seeing crud on three of the 8 bonded download channels, one of those channels is on the same frequency used by WGME for OTA and there is this thing about million watt transmitters and less than ideal cabling conditions. One of the other channels is also on a local OTA frequency as well. Oh well, wait until the new 16 channel unit is put online after it arrives today.

I'm betting those trees were there when you bought the property. I had trees around mine when we had the house built. Then came the issues of mold growing everywhere. Tress came down and the air flow improved. Then we had a hurricane and down came some more trees. That was enough of a scare to get me motivated to take the rest of them down. I still have big trees, but none that the trunk can hit the house. We have a lot of ledge here. When the trees topple over they have a root ball that just lifts off the ledge. Very nasty to cut up because the root ball will snap back into the hole once enough of the tree has been cut. I once had a magnolia that was intended to be a shrub, but turned into a tree eventually towering above the peak of the roof. There was a hurricane warning so I called my son and he took the tree down. I didn't want the risk of it falling on the greenhouse. I miss the spring flowers, but not the huge mess it made with the flowers and the leaves.
