You can do good on Craigslist when you know what to look for and how not to impulse purchase. Good for both you and the seller. I'm a bit guarded about how the stories about be scamed or set up for something worse.
There obvious on the scams. Being knocked over the head and killed can happen anywhere. How often do uou see a JD tractor for sale that 25hp has a bush hog , boxblade, trailer, finish mower and all for $2700??? What about an 6 year old f150 for $3200?
Or how about a $35 Stihl MS200 or a $45 Stihl 026 or a $25 Poulan 5200? All of them are in my garage... I passed on a very clean 025 for $100 on Saturday.
Or that 880 that the guy is selling for his son and it's NIB and only like $500. Son is either in school and bought it but didn't use it and needs money or the army or something ?
So your one of the people that they have taken actual pictures from eBay or CL and use them to sell a real saw that they don't own...someone else has already bought it or has it for sale.
??????? Not sure what you are asking/saying. My examples are actual Craigslist purchases and the price that I paid for each item, I am just showing that good deals do exist.
Most prices I see around here on CL are more than I could pay for new. Once in a while a gem pops up, but getting to it before someone else does is not easy.
I thought you were saying that you actually bought the saw your talking about then the scammer used the same add to "keep selling" the saw that you own. Neither you nor original seller have anything to do with the scam just that they filter off actual sales pictures and use them in their scam. Oh yea I have some deals too. But each case I listed about the truck or tractor are fakes. They run all over The country and I actually inquired about them to see what they said.
