Im doing quite well. I have therapy 6 days a week and i am scheduled to get out of my back cast on May 26th.
I love the rail rack but I'm a little worried about the concrete block supporting the center. Surprised it hasn't exploded yet.
It is of concern fox9988 and has been cited before-If it does, I'll re-think the support but so far, so good-The rails don't give much up and down and maybe I can find something to start building up supports splitting the difference on both sides before any " blow-out"-then again, I'll probably not....
Thats a pretty sweet rack... Might want to find a way to chain that whole thing down just in case one of these pulls up next to your stacks on the road above them...
Well, that is a lot of honest sweat work. Very impressive. Very Neat. Like the dog. I had a boxer when I was a kid. Smart dog. Looks like you have a very nice place to live.
Thank you for the kind words savemoney -I have had a boxer and usually 2 at a time for over 25 yrs and they love people and children as much as any breed I know-This one may be my last and she has lived longer than any I have ever had-they don't live a long time, unfortunately, as most of mine succumb to spinal cord issues @ 10 yrs of age, due to scar tissue and ultimate breaking down of their rears (not dysplasia) and they are also prone to tumors-Savvy here, was purchased to keep my late mother comfortable and thinking about something other than her illness in 2005 and is still spry and going pretty good-Loves truck rides and generally being the big boss baby-They truly live full, active and loving lives and can also make pretty good Frisbee dogs----I trust this finds you and yours well...
That's a mean looking machine stuckinthemuck but Savvy the Log Dog would alert me before they could lift it...
That's a great looking stack of firewood you have there AW.... I bet it feels good to get it finished and full. It always bugs me when I have a stack not quite finished.... Looks really good!
I appreciate that sir-and yes, that rack being incomplete did weigh on me, enough to toil in the mud to get it done-I'm going to post a tree ID thread in a bit and I'd appreciate your insight. Thanks again and I trust this finds you and yours well.
" A while?" This is home sir, at least til I can retire to FL and giving the good Lord let's me live, I'll be a reverse snowbird, up here to hunt and burn wood in the fall, head back for golf and warmth come January each year...I hope to rent the place and have stocked with good wood in between...Thank you for your comments and I trust this finds you well
It's not just you Ash. Everyone I know that has had boxers has never had them live over 9 years. Unfortunately there's just a lot of genetic issues with boxers.
That's a really nice gesture Oakman69, I really appreciate it. Its funny, I see it laying around in scrap all the time by peoples houses but the efforts I've made to purchase have all proven futile. I guess it is always good to have some on stand-by apparently. I've watched it lay for a couple years now at more than a few households in my community. I'll find or buy some, wouldn't mind trying some used rubber roofing either, but I sure thank you for the thought. Stay safe.
