Blackstone for the pellet dealers, and Still River for the Hardware stores, etc. If they weather the storm, that is, since they are a new kid on the block
Above is added to the list along with Dry Creek, PA and Timber Heats. Tullytown , I don't see the Gold versions on the Energex site. Did they cancel them??
Will, they used to list them on the website though. The softies are gone too. Wonder if they decided to can both varieties. Now all they list are the American and Canadian flavors. Maybe they will just stick to their two big sellers from now on?
That makes sense to me , especially in these crazy times , run a leaner operation to maximize profits .
No... as far as I know as I got 2 tons this past summer. energex golden hardwoods. 777220305504 not sure if u have these: Barefoot 812210002947 Lacrete sprucewoods 625490992002
but, I looked at the Energex site and only showing the American Hardwood and the Canadian Softwood blend.. I seem to be the only one here who is able to get them, or burns them..[ never see anyone mention them]..Goldens. that said, this year the ash is more than before and lot darker as opposed to lighter ash previous years.. almost like a different pellet as I started this winter off with last year stash and the ones I bought past spring are different as I posted. Not thrilled with them as before...
don't forget that until Feb 2015 okies were lacrete for 18 months. The original okies have not been in that market for 3 years.
Sometime we need to sort out and attempt to settle the issue of exactly what is a "softwood blend"? I have seen two definitions: 1. A softwood blend is a blend of several softwood species, in effect 100% softwood. Most of time, when a pellet really is 100% softwood, the manufacturers will sure state 100% softwood, on the bag. 2. A softwood blend is a blend of softwood and hardwood, but has at least 51% softwood. I have the seen the definition #2 more common because pellet manufacturers want to find ways to put the word "softwood" on their bags. For example, the Energex Canadian pellet is described as a softwood blend which is softwood 60%/hardwood 40%. I just finished reading the sticky thread of Pellet Guide for Newbies. Maybe this discussion should be posted in that thread?
Good question, You can address it there if you like as well. I think #2 is how many would read it. As that is what most consider a hardwood blend. More Hardwood fiber than softwood. A blend is a mixture of both and the predominate becomes the stand out and gets lead roll.
A certain dealer explained to me when I picked up my winter order that. Lacrete, eagle valley, north county and spruce point are the same company under different factions across Canada. . Also omalleys is power pellets.
O'Malleys..... Hardest, longest pellets in the Universe...Crunch/Bang/ every bag... burned 1 ton and prayed they would go quick!!
