Been watching three dead standing oaks at the end of the driveway for 6 years now. I came home early yesterday and said today's the day. Two are large reds 16-18"and one small white 8". Most of the trees I cut are 12" or less seams like the smaller trees could not handle the bug infestation as well as the larger trees. Both Reds were blown over and leaning the white was still upright. Got them all down easily and bucked up. Then started to carry the Reds out WOW what a difference in how wet they are compared to the smaller trees I am use to. They will be going in the 18-19 stacks for sure. By the way the white is dry and at 22% on the mm. First red to come down Next Red The white still standing. On the ground Start loading and back to the house. More FUN today as I split and stack. :stacke:
Ding Ding Ding we have a winner I told Jane the first comment would be asking about the pipes. I bought 23 acres that I knew would not perc but I did a sub-division 500' up the road that had sewer. So I brought the town sewer line down the street and up my driveway. Those are clean outs every 100'. Now for your prizeone cord seasoned Red Oak you pay the freight.
