The predictions had us between -5 and -15*, we got to 0* Have a snow rake for that snow on the roof? When it warms up or you get some rain on it you'll wish you took it down!

I worked on that roof half the day yesterday and the other half of the day was picking up the mess/cleaned the yard again. I have a sore back from it and yes the warm weather is fastly approaching. I have a metal roof but the PO's stupid idea of adding a extended peak is holding things back. I gotta make a mudroom on the side of the house for a main entrance in the winter and to hell with the snow coming down off the roof in the front. What a mess that causes, unmoveable snow compacted to the ground after it falls:doh:

I should've known your location mandates that without thought. It's tougher for me every year to deal with things like that. The cold gets into the hamstrings and tightens them up all the way into the lower back. What's your pitch on the roof? We have a metal roof with a 10/12 pitch.

Wow, that is a lot of snow. I can see why you want to get it off your roof. Snow and cold. Doesn't look like the mild winter most of us in the East are having. :faint:

Dang, I have an almost flat roof that I put a standing seam metal roof on fall of 2014 and I love it; I'll bet it is 3/12 or less. The snow comes off almost as fast as it gets on there. Does make it a pain going out the back door (have to shovel the pile off the porch every time - not a huge deal), and out the garage door - but haven't had to break out the roof rake, since winter of 2013/2014.
