In the interest of full disclosure, and to to verify that I am not the only person (pig) with a pellet addiction, would others please state the size of their pellet stash? I will go first. Over the past two weeks, I have purchased another 6 tons from Lowes at $199/ton. Bringing my inventory to 10+ tons. That is enough for the next 4 winters, even if I do not purchase anymore pellets for the next four years. Rumor has it that someone has 15 tons in his garage. How many tons do you have stored and for how many winters ahead?
I have hauled home 5 tons from Lowe's in the last two weeks. and hauled 2 tons for my son. I'm sitting between 8-9 tons. All expect 1 ton are stacked in my basement, the other ton is in the garage. As I recently said to a couple of local forum members, we should start a Pellet Support Group. "hello, my name is Paul and I have been addicted to pellets since......."
Ah heck, I'm an amature, I currently have 6+ tons, but can burn 5 tons a year. Hoping to get at least 2 more tons this spring - more if the price is right for some of the Ultra Premium Plutonium Wonder Woman stuff .
Just be careful of keeping the Plutonium Platinum's, Hammers hot ones, Nuclear hot Blazers in close proximity. Could be like crossing the streams, total protonic reversal
After 2 years burning pellets I use about 7 tons/year, guessing our stash is 2/3 gone. LOL our early buy starts in September.....
This forum has a great group of people. Moreover, some of the recent posts on this forum and hearth.com have helped me find pellets at great prices. Now if I could only find enough time to read the all of the interesting posts. (I do not mean to change the topic of this thread.)
Got around 1- 1/2 ton, waiting for the weather to break so I can add on to my Pellet shed then I will be stocking up.
Not entirely sure since the spring pricing is not out yet at the local shop. I think it's going to be three tons MWP and three tons of Vermont's if pricing is near what I expect.
About 7 ton on hand. If oil stays under 2.25 or so it is a 3 year supply as the stove will be left to gurgle on low in the big room from mid afternoon to about 11 PM If oil spikes to the point I push the stove I have enough for the remainder of 2016 season and 2016/17 season. I will likely pick up 2 or 3 ton of softwood though if the pricing is right. By the way ---- Do I qualify yet as a Pellet Pig ???? I ride a hog and want to be known as one too !!!!!
