Several reasons why they pack them. i.e. 1) IED'S 2) Quick deployment from aircraft either by parachute or repelling. These are rapid response fire teams doing the grunt work in the new urban battlefields.

This is right. A Google image search turns up lots of pics of European air teams jumping with fluffy. One even did it from over 10k feet!

Btw, in your hypothetical situation of more than 1 injury a sled with a tarp and 2 logs to drag them out could be made quickly (keep rope, hand saw, and tarp in hiking pack) and probably more effective than carrying 2 or more. Slim chance or not, be prepared or prepare to be a failure at getting them help.

Really good to hear how well she is becoming part of the family and finding herself as a real dog.

when he was a pup, we almost got rid of him. he actually bent a metal cage from the inside to the point he could get out first. next day i heavy zip tied the cage together and he broke wire welds and got out. the first day he got out he destroyed a couch cushion, and the second day ripped up the carpet in the hall. he ended up in a muzzle the third day and the retired neighbor checked on him while i was at work. neutering eventually took the pizz and vinegar out of him. after he grew up he is the smartest dog we have ever had. i love this dog.

That reminds me of what happened to a cat that I adopted, a week before , she was all white, they had a fireplace there in the building but they didn't use it, she got out somehow but they could not find her, and they could not figure out where this other grey cat came from, finally figured out it was her that got up in the fireplace and was now a Grey cato_O she's the same one that knocked two gallons of paint off and redecorated my basement :picard:

Not a pet, but then technically neither is Sluggo.

This guy came in to hang out today when Frappy left the door open, because he was apparently raised in a barn.

Took some finessing but got him to leave without incident.

These guys make nests in ANYTHING cupped in my back room. I have to turn everything with a recess upside down or there will be a nest in it, in these warm(er) temps.

Thanks.. I've been waiting to grout it for the last 4 years. I dropped the ceiling about 4 inches just above the kitchen counter to install recess lighting. then tiled everything..

but now I want to rip the recess down because I am not happy with it.

    so there it sits.. ungrouted.

My mom complained about her unfinished bathroom that my dad started 40 years ago. and hes dead now. so I guess I got a while to go. no need to rush perfection!

Maple found a stinkbug and played with it. When I tried to get it, she ate it. This was about 45 min ago, she has since vomited. Goofy girl....... :loco:

Those suckers are absolutely disgusting. Not even our chickens will eat them, and chickens will literally eat anything.

Ice cubes and popcorn. My dog's favorite treats. Peanut butter if she's been extra good.
