I hate you :D. Average price around here is $2.74/gallon and since I don't use enough (and my supply company sux) I would be at least at $3.50/gal.

Stupid weather is driving me nuts.

All day yesterday we ran the big Whit Whit and the house was comfy.
Some time last night a warm front moved in, and this morning the house is real toasty.

Gonna let it ride til mid morning then shut down and clean things.

    Likely clean both units well.

I hate having to clean stoves when it's cold.

    Ahhh well, such is life.

Far easier when this weather will just stay somewhat even.

    Not in the PACNW

That and chicken. Had a pork roast last night that was 95 cents per pound. Fed six with it and two dogs. $5.00 for the roast.

Still under the weather here, but I feel like I turned a corner.

Went out to give some more hay to the horses just a bit ago. I took two, four legged terrorists into the barn with me and shut the door. When I went to leave only one would come. The 8#'er was nervous as could be and kept looking down from the top of the hay stack. Her partner wouldn't come, no matter how many times I called and after about five minutes of this it would seem to be more than a stubborn Jack Russell Terrier. I couldn't hear a sound, not a growl, digging or a whimper. I wasn't up to it but I moved about 30+ bales of hay and pop, up springs the missing rodent killer. Must have kept burrowing through the bales trying to find a rodent. That was the first time that happened in all these years. I was glad that we were through 2/3's of this section.

    Happy Birthday Iron Stove!

Tonight we're slated to get 4-10 inches of the white stuff. Should be fun with all the ice on the drives and walkways.

Stay safe. Hope your little rodent killer is up to date with its shots. Darn rodents give nasty bites. I had a lab mix once that used to go after most any vermin. She always got them. Fast as lightning. As far as I could tell, she never got bitten.

Better go see the vet and get yours before the next season. I've got to get my rabies shot shortly, I'll go with the three year stuff.

Smokey, I hope you don't get the three year stuff for KC. One of my cats got that shot a couple years back. After that, it was all down hill. She died in my chair just three weeks later. I think it impacted her immune system. Dogs seem to do ok with the three year shot, but cats, not so good. Just my 2 cents after a disaster with it.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't had any cats that had an issue with the 3 year shots - had at least 9 cats over the years. Even the cat that has the heart mummer has done well with the shots. Could have been a coincidence - or maybe some are just more sensitive than others. Can't say as I blame you for being offput by your experience though.
