They still had the Ice Fishing Derby up here this past weekend except for the most part it was not on the big lake as usual. It was almost cancelled due to lack of ice.

    Meredith Rotary Club

Meredith fishing derby continues despite ice warnings

My lake had all the tourneys cancelled. Drove around it today after work and there's some big holes. Might be able to fish from shore this weekend. ;)

    :seasoned:

Got some showers in Thomaston just before noon.

I locked in at $1.84 down here last April, but I know the price now is actually less than that. My guess I could get it for around $1.40ish.

Ice is all out on the Kennebec River, (tide water but fresh). Only some ice chunks seen on the mud during low tide. Usually the CC has to send ice breakers up the river, but I think they have nothing to break up this year. Last year, it was much later and it took several attempts and three ships.

So I finish cleaning the yard and had a afternoon snooze. Did supper, pork 3/4" steaks marinated with orange mix with bake patotoes with cheeze wiz centers along with french style wax beans. Mmmmm! Snow squalls during supper so out I went to snowblow a path to the main road all over again....:headbang:
Now I cross my fingers for not a encore in the morning  Having a couple of Grolsch smoothies as we speak:drunk:

    Rain and wind for tomorrow.

House is toasty with the Big Whit at the helm and a couple buckets of shells handy.

Looks like we are going to be on the big Whit for a while too.

I was just getting comfy with 55 degree weather, then poof, 39 F this morning and raining.

    Snow Balls ? :D

We're in that wacky weather pattern also Snowy: 50 F one day, 25-30 F the next.. I may have to re-tune the stove back to burning 1.0 lb/hr at setting (1), house is getting warmer w/ solar gain again.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you too ivanhoe - hope the weather starts getting better for you soon, seems like your neck of the woods is getting a lot of the frozen wet weather, it's been way below average here this winter.
