Thanks a bunch, Gasifier, I appreciate the sentiment. No down time, I find myself busy with old lanterns' websites and sech sometimes, have also cut s/s about 25 truckloads of far'wood,,picking up extra shifts at the workhouse,,living the dream. I have popped on here intermittently from time to time,,it's good to log in and say , "Hey", to you good people.

Good morning, coffee is on, the rain has stopped and we might see 50 degrees today.
A fire in the garage stove would surley knock the cool dampness out of the air,,,I'm thinking some good tunes on the stereo with some puttering around out there would be the perfect way to while away my not so busy day..Thanks for the "welcome",,,not something that can often be found on some web sites. Peace.

More salt thrown out on the driveway/parking area early this morning. Just nasty with rain that had froze on again. But temps warmed up and by 6 am it was 39. It's now 40 and more rain. Sure am glad this didn't and isn't all freezing on. We would be hurting right now if it did/was.

Schools delayed by two hours again and some closed.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it is off to work I go. Nose dripping has ceased and the cough disappeared. I am still stuffed up but at least I can hear again. Watched two thrilling games of curling yesterday (yes rottiman they were thrilling) and generally laid around and took it easy. Nice to see greendohn back.

I hope everyone has a good day on this Leap Year extra day.

holy crap what a miserable drive in to work this morning!

Very strong winds and snow made for extremely low visibility (zero at times) !!

Now this afternoon on the ride home was completely the opposite..bright sunshine and highways were melting once again. The day spent it's time only by dropping temperatures though.

It would have been better if leap day wasn't a Monday.

I've been spending time fixing up the laundry area in the basement and slowly organizing the shop area. I was constantly moving my older tools around or they were mixed in drawers with my new ones. I decided to put up some rough pine and hang them where I can get right to them. There is a wall to the right that will get filled with ice tongs, mallets, planes and brace and bits. This has been a work in progress. I can't pass up old iron when I find them.

Snap cold front pounding thru here as we speak. Wind is HOWLING with vertical white-out snow squalls and the temp has dropped 9 degrees since 5 p.m. Supposed to bottom out tonight @ -22 C with a wind chill of -27 C. Get ready Gas and Woodlands.

Dave cave has dropped down to 58! Now if that isn't a good reason for a fire in the kicker, I don't know what would be!

Been giving the walls another coat of paint.....think I'll take the night off since it's so cold in here.

"Now, if I had that NC-30 in here Honey, it would be warm all the time!"

Poor WWW, he picked up some groceries on the way home tonight with the little one in the grocery cart seat. Guess he took a direct hit to his left jewel and ended up dropping to his knees in the aisle.
