Quite the boomer last night. Wind was crazy. Sticks and branches all over. Power flickered several times. But stayed on for us. Lots of peeps in the dark, Something like 70K without this AM.

Near 60 today and back to near freezing by the weekend. o_O

At least all this rain wasn't white stuff!! We'd be buried in it!!

Yeah, the sump pump in the garage is going. Tested it last night to make sure it was good. Of course, not sure what I would have done had it not been good - no place open to get a replacement or parts if I'd needed them

Oh no, I slept in  (hit the snooze button an extra time) - cat just likes to go sit on back porch for a couple minutes when it is decent out.

but it has been nice a warm! Happiness is a proper pellet running on low settings, burning a bag a day and doing so efficiently! I' was so tired of the 3 bags, then clean the 3/4 full ash pan and the utter mess from the unmentionable pellets. I have my 11th and 12th bag of LG's in the hopper and the ash pan isn't even 1/2 full. :dancer::banana::rootintootin:

Of course it would be a nice 61* and dry while I'm at work. Supposed to get stormy by the time I get out of work. At least the snow is supposed to hold off until I get out of my other job.

Did a fast snowblow job to get out this morning to drive the princess to work. I just finish cleaning the yard and it is 1pm. A big pile of ice stuck to my goatee, same color too! There was deep section as tall as the snowblower :picard:The good thing it wasn't wet but the 14" was realistic
The wind is blowing like crazy with temperatures dropping:shiver:

Made it to 37* heading down to 8* tonight they say... unless Ivanhoe left his snowblower running while pointed south again thereby sending us his cold package!

BTW I had found documentation about the tax credit of $300 for a certified pellet stove extended for 2015. Downloaded the certificate from the manufacturer, which also states this. There was no where on the tax form for the deduction????:mad::mad: Any input on this?

Lost power at work and my step moms house for about 14 hours last nite. The standby saved me at work but I had to run in and hook up the portable for my step mom.

i thought that went away at the end of 2013?

tlaked to Kathryn this morning - i guess she was up for a couple hours last night with the storm. we are in a pretty good spot out of the direct wind, but 70 foot trees all around that can reach the house. nothing dead or dying cause i cut them for firewood, and all good root trees, oak, maple, hickory. still, she was by herself and it was quite the storm!

    i didn't hear it from Colorado:D

I used the insulation deduction years ago, back then it was a separate form that was added into one of the sched A lines, might still be the same?

Yup pretty good storm last night. Woke us up at midnight I guess. I was afraid the wind was gonna rip the tarp off my Shelter Logic exposing my ........ pellets. But all was well. Tarp was secure and kept my pellets dry. Did see some flooding on my way to work.
