Well, well, well! Did a clean on the furnace. Verified the wiring to the T-stat and it is OK. Did what Dex mentioned on starting up on T-stat mode and voilĂ , it works  I wish the fuel settings could be used to be able to run at a lower temps without having the ash clean frequency would stay longer. The fuel setting I use all have Normal dumps but in real life is NO:mad: Only fuel setting #5 has the longest:loco:

Premium Pellet should have the longest setting? I'd call Matt at Fahrenheit and ask him about the old board and the cycle settings. He is very knowledgeable!

I really love that insulation! Plan on adding that to my plenum before next season!! Any heat loss you stop? Is heat saved for your home upstairs (even though heat downstairs helps. The furnace does provide some radiant heat).

His install does look great though!!

you can get it at HD...that's what I wrapped all my ductwork in as well...it's easy to work with and you can wrap multiple layers...I think I have 3 layers...and yes, it's basically high heat bubble wrap!

Now I have a trio scheduled this weekend with the wife. There is a nice steakhouse (Jakes) that is right in front of our HD in Ashland or the Olive Garden that we went to last weekend in Elyria (My favorite restaurant and the Elyria store is where I bought 6 tons of Stove chow last Sunday/ It's delivery date is tomorrow).

 Now we only have to get through tomorrow at work and the weekend looks very good!!)

Well, I picked up a backdraft damper for the oil furnace. 20in x 20in and the plenum is 20in x 22in so should fit right in with a slight filler....... Now I got to source a cold air return box and finish that part too:)

The factory one is an easy bolt on peice, but you could probably make one very easily. I'm sure a few of us would take pics and measurements for you!

I've looked at Old Fart's and noticed the extra thickness on the metal box compared to the regular ductwork. No rush for it but I'll be keeping a eye on something to use.......

$199 a ton and $69 delivery.. Not bad. It's the cheapest I've seen a decent pellet in 3 years.

I bought 6 ton 2 years ago (Presto logs). Been trying to buy 2 years at a time so we don't have to worry about doing it every year.

That's a good plan if you have the space to store them. If I had room I'd buy a highway rig at a time!

I have the room to buy 22 ton (semi load) at a time (or more :) ) and have looked into it. But the only pellet I would buy like that around here is Somersets and they have weird rules about selling to non dealers/non commercial.

Otherwise, me and eatonpcat would be hogging out on Sets!!

I have a 40' x 30' barn in the back that is waiting to hold about 60 to 80 ton (nothing else back there).

Looked for the Canawicks ad but it disappeared. They must of sold out. Home Depot in Peterborough has the LG's Satisfaction for $5.49 ea.
Gatineau HD sells them for $4.99 ea
    Montreal HD for $4.89 ea
The Canawicks were from Gatineau area.
There's standard pellets in Milton area for $4.00 ea

I did my power out test on the Fahrenheit. I let my hopper go empty and pulled the plug to see if smoke would back up in the house. The hopper was full of smoke and a faint smell of smoke around the furnace area. If I had let the hopper full maybe, just maybe no smoke in hopper! It did have a lazy flame and even the outer door handle was very hot to the touch from the nowhere to go heat build up. This test was to see if the up & out Selkirk DTM vent would have enough draft to vent the smoke.

Store them outside. I've been doing that since I started burning 10 years ago. I just opened up a 3 year old pallet and it burns better then the Sets I've been buying at Lowes this year.
