Another fairly nice day. Mild temps for this time of year. My son said my BBQ grill had gone bad, so I invited him to ride up to Lowes with me. We brought home another one. No too fancy, but has good grills. I hadn't bought a new grill for over 10 years so it was time. I also bought a grill cover. He likes to grill. This will be a nice thing to socialize around. While I was at Lowes, I pointed out the pellets. He said he would bring a ton home for me if I wanted to.

Let's see , drained and refilled the generator with fresh fuel then ran for 1 hour , fixed the old Toro snowblower , replaced the rope on the old push mower , cleaned and ran the weed wacker . :D

The van needs this upgrade too! Im not going to pay for XM for it but there is no aux port for the cell and it also only plays original music cd's. Right now the priority is the de-coconutification, as see below:(the fan is actually wedged in between 3 bags of pellets and the roof of the vehicle)

It must be some of that wacky smoke that makes the light color change on that thing :D

Pioneer has a good name on the Explorer forum, which sort of surprised me. Of course I'm not a real audiophile, so wasn't looking for Altec Lansing pr Blaupunk type stuff.

The wiring harness and dash adapter were free - and I didn't have to know anything but the year, make, model and if I had a sub. The entire cost was $10 more than just the radio if I had gone to Amazon or another place so I figure I got that $10 in the install kit. Oh, and shipping was free.

The radio I got also has the USB port for phone hook up. I wouldn't use it, but it is there for those who need it. I think most of the newer radios have such things. The thing to watch is if you want to play CD's, that the radio you order actually has a CD player. It seems at least 1/2 of them out there don't.

Now there is a name I havnt heard in a LONG time, Back in the day, it was THE name to have

In the 90's through early 2000's my favorite brand was Alpine but from what I understand they are not what they use to be anymore. That was the reports several years ago. The new systems that are integrated and embedded into the vehicles now are killing the aftermarket.

I have a slightly funny story...I graduated HS and worked at a body shop for a few years. We got a car in that we were going to clip that had an "Alpine" cassette stereo in it. My co-worker and I were literally fighting on who was going to get that thing. My boss walks over and says you guys are idiots, do you realize what kind of stereo is in that? We said yeah, "Alpine", he says go look again....we go out to the car. That f'in stereo was some kind of knock-off, it said "AlFine" in the same lettering at the real logo....needless to say we felt like dipchits! Never saw one of those ever again.

As well it should since most odour has a biological cause, and that ClO2 destroys most biological items. It even kills things that are actually really useful, many antibiotics are destroyed by it. That list of items it destroys is really really long.

They have done some really strange things with it and it does have valid uses. Just not something I want to play with. In the right concentration it is highly explosive.

It is highly effective in a cold water/ClO2 mixture but the mixture when open to air doesn't last long.

My first car had a Kraco pullout cassette player. I never bothered pulling it out because the car was such a POS that nobody would take the time to look to see what radio it had.

    Well now

Gave the new Washer the ACID TEST.

Stuffed the Queen bed spread in that beast and let it rip.

Part way through the first spin cycle the dammed thing walked out of the hole and was heading towards the door.

Got it shut off and checked it out.

The load had balled up and crawled off to one side and when the thing went to warp speed things got ugly.

These units without the center agitator have to be carefully loaded with the items laid around the outer edge of the drum.

Care must be taken to keep the load equal all the way around too.

After the thing is done and you look in it looks like a giant biscuit in there.

Smaller loads of cloths seem to do fine, but the big stuff needs to be done by the numbers or its gonna have issues.

Not what I wanted to hear, especially after dropping a grand on these things.

    UH HUH

Not the sort of thing that you want getting in the wrong hands.

My 95 GMC Dahooooly 4x4 stunk awful after sitting for 4 years.

One treatment with the Cl02 and no more stink.

Let it air for two days with the windows down, then shampooed it inside and it rocks now.

The fella that sold it to me gave me an MSDS sheet and said "READ THIS FIRST" :faint:

Like I said that first out of balance load and funny things happen that gets your attention, if it isn't really bad in the out of balance situation it will thump around a bit go through the cycle (not always correctly) and you can wind up with a very heavy wet wad in the drum.
