You may have seen this, but it was an awesome find for me today. An old friend found a 1964 B&W aerial photo of our farm. I just ordered the 8"x12" archive print of it. Can't wait to get it in a decent frame. Here's the link. It has a US map showing where they took millions of these photos years ago.

What a neat find. Now if I only could find the street address of some of the people in my family tree research, I could look at their property.

Here is our 1964 aerial photo of the farm. I tried to rotate it... sorry couldn't do it. The quality of the photo is really good. And, I've convinced myself that I can see my father mowing the lawn. See if you can find him.

I'm 90% sure, saying yes. He was always outside and mowed the lawn/hay with a push mower. From the hay laid down in the field to the right in the neighbor's field, I'd say the pic was taken around mid July (hay season) We lived in Vermont then and were only there at the farm for 1 week stays, maybe a couple times a year. When the chance came up, to live there with our kids, we all went ballistic and ended up there for 13 years. Finding this photo is like stepping into a time machine.

I understand it's changed a lot over the years. We lived there from 1957 to 1967.

Cool. Is it where your house is now? Things change a lot in 50 plus years.

Yes, my house was built 25 years ago before that it was farmland. It may even be before the pond was dug.

I found my house, pretty neat! Picture is from 83 not long after it was built. Doesn't even look like grass is in yet! Wish it was a wider shot!
