That's Great for now , I don't have oil as option here , but I'm going to say that most of you folks who do , switched to pellets because Dino Juice got real $$$$ . Just because it's cheap now how long will it last :whistle:

Keep buying pellets , even if you are not burning them as much because Dino is cheaper , help keep the mills in business There will come a time when the worm turns as it always does :smoke:and pellets are a better option , maybe if you can find them , :bug: because of less production .... once again , less options they got you by the short hairs .

    Just my thoughts on this

i'm just happy we have a really crappy forced air oil furnace.
well, the furnace might not be crappy, but the ducting is horrible.
the room where i spend the majority of my time doesn't even have a register.

and forced air just sucks in general. (blows?)
so, the excellent comfort of a steadily heat soaked house abides here. and i don't have to think twice about choosing fuels.

the choice this year will be whether to go with the new pellets from pine tree (if he gets up and running)
or stick with having steve from SiB bringing me my usual 6 ton order.

if pine tree is producing, i feel pretty strongly about supporting them if their product is decent.
i don't need the perfect pellet, just one that doesn't make clinkers.

new business in our region is essential, and i really hope he gets things going over there in mattawamkeag.

    i heard they were awful.

i do want to avoid getting several tons of crap.
i have been running it through my head to ask him if he is confident enough of quality to guarantee them to the extent of taking them back and refunding me the purchase price if they are unusable/drastically bad.

somebody has to buy them though for him to make a go of it.

we'll see how it plays out.

I got a voice mail from my power company last night. The friggin morons are doing a system upgrade tonight at midnight and will be turning my power off for 5 minutes. Midnight? In February? They couldn't do it at a more reasonable time? So I have to make a decision. Either shut the stove down at 11 and stay up until they're done then restart the stove or shut the stove down at 11 and go to bed and hope it's not too cold in here in the morning. I called them today and berated the crap out of the poor customer service rep but this is idiotic.

I could have burned LP for cheaper this year than pellets/wood.

But my thought was I would get lazy and do it again next year, and the year after, etc. I can afford to burn LP. I choose not to for several reasons (which many here probably share with me )

My whole family has bought into the wood and wood pellets. We all are a unit when it comes to heating this house!

As for the $199 a ton pellets!! I wish I bought more than 6 ton yesterday. But our hopes are they have enough inventory to drop the price even more before the Spring!! :) If not? We have 2 years to find another good deal. It why we buy 2 years worth at a time when they hit a low price (and a decent pellet) :D

Hope you all had a great Monday! Mine wasn't that good. But it was a Monday!!
