    Two strokes don't need back prussure like a four stroke. You can run one without a muffler period as long as it's tuned right enough

    The whole back pressure thing is mostly a myth. It's all about flow.

    The 021/023/025 series of saws is one that runs great with the exhaust as unrestricted as possible.

    Awesome too know. Thanx again for the info. I was hoping that was right I cut and removed the baffle from my 041 farmboss and tuned it and that really helped that ol saw too

    Grind out the exit port on the muffler and it will help a WHOLE lot more

    I forgot but on my 41 I cut it in half pulled the baffle and welded a 3/4 in piece of 1-1/2 thin wall pipe in the muffler at an angle and that really did help it too
