Awesome! Can't beat that family time! You're grandson will be my age and remember that like yesterday!
Frame a copy of the picture of the two of you together, give it to him for his birthday, it will be a cherished treasure later in his life. I wish I had a pic like that of me and my pa pa.
I sure do miss mine, and all he taught me.... Kleenex please honey, stat. My grandpa was the chief of our hometown VFD tfdchief, long before I was born.... You're doing gooder by your grandson.
Thanks for all the replies. Yes, I love my boys. It is the best part of cutting wood. Buddy is for sure the inspector. He has more fun than all of us. But I love going to the woods with my boys!
The best! Can't even quantify or qualify how much he showed me, or how much he directed my life. I'm sure your grandson sees you the same way, sir! God bless you and your family, Chief
Red Elm. We are such good buddies. He staid by my side when I had my 4 wheeler accident 4 years ago, while his Dad went to get help. I praid hard to God that I did not die on his watch. Thank God I didn't. He is an incredible little boy.
Real nice there. I love the ash it is one of the few hard woods that I can get here once in awhile. Another good day in the outdoors.
Well Chief, you are at it again. Good for you and many of us wish we too could be working with son and grandson. Keep it up as it is great medicine. Sort of makes up for the medicine the stupid insurance company doesn't think you need, but that is another subject. Something wrong with this picture though. Where is all the white stuff? Not much there for sure. But at least it looks cold.
Yes Dennis, it is really nice to have a son and grandson to help this old man! I would struggle without them. Hope your son gets there soon. It is wonderful. We got 4 in the next day while cutting a load of Hickory. That load will mix nicely with the load of Ash. I am almost there for this winter. Maybe one more load. Then take my time splitting and stacking. Chief
Me too! Every time I tell the story. Almost died. Sure glad I didn't. I have a lot of living to do yet.
