Another snowstorm story, Christmas vacation Dec. 28th 1975. Two friends and myself were hanging at the local bowling lanes, she and two of her friends doing the same, she was from across town. A new girl! They threw snowballs at us and we threw them back. Names and numbers exchanged and just like that true love. Moved into an apartment in 1979, got married in 1983, and still going strong today. 41 yrs. together this Dec. 28th.:)

This thread makes for some interesting reading, no?
Lots of funny stories, circumstances, etc.

A couple that used to live next to us asked how we met and then told us how they met.

The wife said back in 8th grade, her husband to be would would turn around in his desk seat and just stare at her!

We were both undergrads and meet in our Freshman Seminar class. She was beautiful but annoyed the heck out of me by asking questions and habitually making the class run late. I just wanted to get to the cafeteria. Apparently I annoyed the heck out of her in Calculus. I may have been a bit full of myself. A couple years later we worked together for a science project. Eleven years, two kids, and a mortgage later...

I bet fishingpol can guess the name of the bowling lanes where I met my wife. What do you say Jon?

I never got married til I was forty, a 1 time sort of guy.. but I did know what I wanted as I had loving parents.. my best life lesson came from my uncle Ned (really father first cousin and a non denominational minister that should have a sign :headbang:)

A lot of my friends were married (some more than once) but I had a boat, bike and a fast car, so I said to uncle who was out visiting hey take an extra day let's go out on the boat watch sunset and stars come out its really beautiful.

his response that is a very tempting offer..... a chance to see God's glory.. but my beautiful young bride (he had been married for over 35 years then) is waiting and I miss her.

I never knew if I would get married but if I did that was what I wanted.. not what everyone else had married 4 years referring to their wife as old lady or ball an chain or warden but decades and still calling her young bride:yes:

Met Mrs. Coach in first grade and had many classes together throughout. Became good friends in Jr. High and High School but never dated (I had one girlfriend from 8th grade to Jr. year in college). She was in town visiting family one Christmas and we got together (not a date) and I remember staring at her face, thinking I need to burn that image into my mind. We courted a couple of years and were married in 2003. We now have two beautiful children and I look forward to seeing my young bride everyday....
