Which one of you scoundrels cleaned house at all my local HD's? Went back for a ton of chows today and they didn't even have one loose bag (had over 10ton last week). Called around to a few other stores and no luck except 40 bags at a store 45 mins away. So i stopped at lowes down the road to check their stock. They had 3 ton of cheat river, 6 ton of nations choice? And about 150 loose bags of prestos in the exit. I asked if they had any wrapped tons of prestos in the back and the girl said "yea i think so, go take a look" . I walked in the outdoor garden section and saw this! I'd say they have a few lol. Long story short I talked them down to $233 ton plus my 5% discount. Grabbed one skid for the ride home.
They burn pretty good in the hastings. Not the hottest but not bad on ash. I figgerd after politely talking the price down with the customer service girl, i'd better buy at least a ton lol. A skid of really tiny pieces of firewood .

Am I the only one that noticed the 28,000 pounds of wood pellets on the top shelf of an otherwise empty rack? That was a scary pic !!! Especially knowing the caliber of help they tend to get at the big box stores
