I love them , throwing out a lot of heat 500 off the glass and 340 from center vents and they have no problem reaching the swing setting  But I do think the LACRETES burn as clean , just as hot , smell better and 50 cents per bag cheaper . I'll need a little more burn time with each just going by memory on the LACRETE .

Those were great for me a couple years back. Where did you get them? Dayville?

Dayville only has GS. This was Lisbon. They had open pallets of GS, NA, GT, natures own, and these. These were the only ones I really wanted to try. When I got home I cut open a bag. They smell just like chows only they are lighter in color. Hope they burn like chows!

I gave the Blazers the edge over Lacrete last year by just a hair only because I think the Blazers has just a touch less ash. Can't go wrong with either one. The heat is pretty much the same.

Will have you tried the Inferno Gold. Lowes here has both at the same price and I'm not overly impressed with them.

    Interesting..
I burned both Okie firs and Lacretes this week and was surprised concerning the ash for the Lacretes...
was exspecting less ash. seemed on par with Lignetics which we're also more ash than I exspected.
The Okie firs had just about zero Ash along with the Blazers.....
are those 2[cretes/Ligs a bit ashy or am I spoiled by the Firs..?:faint:
    [Not talkin BBS pellet ashy]...

Cretes where ashier then most for me this year also. Your not alone. They where hot. But the ash ruined them for me.

Crazy me up in the middle of the night tweaking the stove . You are correct little to no ash with the BLAZERS . Temps are really dropping now , cranking her up to 510 off glass 360 vents .

Both of those had about the same ash as PTL's for me. Heat was good though and ash doesn't' bother me much since everything I burn is ashy.

The DF's I am burning put out hard balls of ash in the P61 - I had to scrape them out of the firepot this morning. Maybe doesn't like the -21* air it's pulling in thru the OAK?

Weird because the LaCretes in the P43 don't have that issue. Ah well, as long as they are both blowing out warm air, I'm a happy camper
