I don't know about the Accentra or Advance but the P series stoves are probably the easiest stoves on the market to run and especially clean. No baffles or traps or feed gates or draft settings or brushes needed.

    It's a hard decision sometimes..

Getting a stove that was new and over $4,000 MSRP, for what I paid ;) ? Was hard to pass up. Especially straight from the manufacturer. The cost of the used Harman P-43 I was looking at, was what I paid for the Eurostar. Which was a ridiculous number.

This Eurostar still runs like a Harman as far as flame and heat. It self troubleshoot and has more options than you can shake a stick at!!! But this recent noise that it started making has me shaking my fist!! It's a resonance noise from the bottom auger. Member Ambient is always fighting it on his Osburn 7000 right now.

I have to agree with you subsailor, the P series is so simple to clean. The heat output is huge. I don't know how anyone can go wrong with one of these stoves. My p68 heats my home with heat to spare. Never came close to this temps with my prior stove. That one needed some attention every 3rd day, but this stoves goes weeks between cleanings.

chbryson, if you're hearing this? A P-43 for your upstairs family room (right off the kitchen) could benefit from a freestanding stove in the shoulder seasons and when the Fahrenheit needs cleaning/maintenance.

The P-43 or Accentra have been a dream of mine for some time. The P-43 was gonna be a reality. But getting my Enerzone for less than what most pay for 4 tons of pellets? Was to hard to pass up. This noise will be fixed as it's coming from the lower auger. That in itself only has a few parts. But I'd have to sell this one before buying a Harman. Unless I can find someone who wanted to trade a Harman for my Enerzone :)

DexterDay. You know I hate being hot, and my house is no where near as hot as your house, ever. I would get roasted out if I had a stove upstairs. And when the stove didn't run for 4 days this week my house was still 50* and back up to 70* within about 2 hours of starting back up.
You are pretty good at getting me to spend money but I think I may stand strong on this one. Although a store was selling their pellet stove demo this morning for about 1/2 price...... good thing I had to get to a job site before I could look any more.

The Accentra runs the same as the p43 all the same parts except for the distribution blower squirrel cage on Accentra . As far as cleaning goes a couple more things to do on the Accentra 2 cast iron plates that cover the heat exchanger to remove ,very ez and a bigger combustion blower cover to remove can be a pain until you get used to doing it. If I ever need another stove it will be a Harman

Not running them in parallel. . Just one at a time. :D

The upstairs stove when the Fahrenheit needs maintenance or if it's only 40° outside.

My Enerzone hasn't ran in over a month. Well except to help Ambient with troubleshooting his Osburn 7000.

It's a balmy 71° (average) throughout the house with Fahrenheit on Tstat level 4  And the woodstove cranking!! ;)

Reminds me of my recent dip chit moment....... I did a thorough clean on the P68 and was interrupted at the final stages and then left. Came back home and fired her up. I was outside doing some stuff and noticed a bunch of smoke. Came in to check the stove out and I had set the flame guide on the shelf left of the ash pan.

I also noticed I did not have the firebox door latched. Couldn't believe the stove started and ran but it did. Flame was all over, real big, and real lazy. Remedied the two issues and it was off and running clean. It is easy to forget a small detail (or two in my case). Embarrassing thing is there were no smoothies involved which would have made more sense.

Being an Anal Andy who triple checks everything I was definitely up for the Schmuckitely Award there. And the Moron of the Day. I'd say the roll of tape would do a pretty good job of blocking the feed too.

No problem bud!! Gonna dig deeper into this issue tomorrow.

Hopefully we'll figure it out! Even if it's the needed parts they are sending you! I'll need them as well then!

How are you surviving with the house being so cold? I think the last time I was there Logan's room was about 85 with zero humdity. Or do you jut kick up the blast furnace when company is staying?:D

That's why I drink so much at your house, I get too dehydrated with the low humidity levels in the house.

We close the kids vents almost 90% when they are here. I open then 100% and keep the doors open when they were gone.

We forgot to close the vent that night for you (Folks, no joke.. It was 84°-85° in that room the morning he is speaking of!!) and with only a small gap beneath the door for "return" air? Most of the hot air (o.k.. All of the air) stays in that room!!

I'll never forget that morning.. As well as you and Elyase..
