2 weekends ago, I did a tear down on my Fahrenheit and replaced some pieces and parts. Anyway, fast forward to Friday of last week, I load up the hopper (5 Bags) and head out the door for the weekend skiing in New York. My buddy stops at the house to top off the pellets and calls me Sunday night saying the hopper is full and the stove says no proof of flame. So I come home a day early from my trip to a chilly house and after emptying all the pellets and removing the hopper and cleaning out the stove, I find a roll of metal tape blocking the auger. It fell off the hopper with the lid off and it is about 5 1/2' off the ground so I didn't really even think to look inside the hopper when done.
My point is from now on I m going to have a check list of how many tools I started with and how many tools I finished with when working on the stove. Kinda like a surgeon, this many tools went into surgery and this many came out and make sure you didn't leave a screwdriver inside the patient's chest. I can see it really coming into play with drill bits and such tearing up an auger if they fell into the pellets while doing some maintenance.

I found a plastic fork in mine once. No damage done. I'm sure the fork was one of ours.

I'm pretty sure that was my fault... Because I used that tape last when I stayed at his house the weekend before last :(

But.... He needed to vacuum out the bottom of the hopper and lube the auger bushing anyways.... Yep, that's why I did it.. Uh huh!!

Should of bought a Harmoan...Probably would have burnt the tape, generated copious amounts of heat and produced no ash what-so-ever!! :D

I do not even buy pellets anymore, I just throw splits in the hopper and she grinds them up and burns them just fine.

I want one for upstairs bad, but the Fahrenheit Endurance is probably the best stove I've seen and ran. They just produce (when tuned properly) copious amounts of heat. I turned mine up to level 4 (Tstat mode) for tonight because we are looking at single digits and Sat night will be even colder.

My dream would be to buy a new Fahrenheit Endurance and have it sitting in the basement, waiting for this one to finally rot through. :) After finally utilizing the Fuel Mizer mode (On/Off on tstat) I realized I only need this furnace. But having a back up on the main level is nice. :)

The price I paid for the Enerzone, I know I can come out ahead and put that down on a nice Accentra, P-43, or an Advance.
