The people that have had them seem to like them....especially when a 16" bar is added !
I've often pondered on getting one. That's a sweet price ....a price that may be worth the risk ;)

Yeah I have been thinking about trying one of these out for a long time, read a bunch of info on AS about them.
They are on the heavy side, for a 50cc.
I have other things that are refurbs never had a problem with that.
Don't know what bar mount it is

I've had great luck with refurb stuff. And I have 2 PP5020AVs, for the money you can't beat 'em IMO

That is the only saw I have. I am always on the lookout for another for a good price, and BTW that is a good price. It is a good saw, and pretty capable.

I run the original bar, with a little more aggressive 72lpx070g chain. It runs fine out of the box. After about a year, I needed to change the fuel lines, but I run cheap fuel, so that may be my fault. Also, the air filter leaks around the seal, so most people either put grease or RTV on the lip of the filter. I put a zip tie around the filter, and that seems to do it. I may add grease next time. The rope broke once. I have adjusted the carb, but in hindsight I am not sure that is because it needed it, or I just couldn't leave it alone.

Yes, you want it. Go get it!

Good to know about that filter how long have you owned the saw that you needed to replace the fuel line?

I've had it for 2 years. It's cut probably 30 cords of pine, Douglas fir, and tamarack to date. I have run it alongside similar sized Huskies and Stihls, and it doesn't make a fool of me. (The secret is a sharp chain, don't tell them :smoke:.)

I am sure you have read elsewhere that a lot of the parts have the letter H on them, for whatever that is worth.

Occasionally it can be a little hard to start when hot. But, if you follow the start directions exactly as placard end, it will start.

Yeah I've done fuel lines and greased the filter too. Matter of a fact I got the second 5020 for $50, fuel line was cracked, would run fine until you put a load on 'er. Saw looked like it cut up maybe one tree (and a small one at that)

    Yeah.
And the first one was a refurb...from a "surplus" store...sat around with gas in it...run a lil funny when I got it (also for $50-$60...can't remember for sure) I was gonna clean the carb but I ran fresh fuel through it with a bit of fuel system cleaner in it...straightened right out, never did pop the carb apart. I've had it for 5-6 years...cut plenty of wood...doesn't owe me anything at this point...still runs good though, just bought a new bar/chain for it last fall (stock)

OEM, it's a K095- small-mount Husqy, but with a twist. "Normal" 20" K095 bar would take 72 DL 3/8" chain. This one takes 70 DL.
I've had one for 4 yrs now, worked it like a rented mule on occasion. Just about wore out a spur sprocket.
'Twas me that made the first noise on AS about sealing the air filter w/silicone, FWIW.
The nuts that hold the carb loosened up on mine. I pulled a plastic piece to give access to them with wrench, and gave each a drop of loctite. They can't take much torque with plastic bits in the sandwich. Button it up and run it. Runs fine with sharp 20" chain in shagbark- my acid test. Some say the crank's fragile, so just don't beat on it. Good air-quality & runtime with strato engine.
    For $180, a STEAL.
