Tonight we had a winter fog just before dark! Prob letting the wood absorb some moisture . But it's been out there for a couple years. So it will be fine by next winter This was a pic from this past Spring. 3 rows deep at 24' long and 4.5' tall Background shows the neighbors slab wood pile from their sawmill
.... Where's the Cookie Monster... He'd be in heaven with all of them...... Also those are some sweet stacks you got there....
The cookie monster would definitely get his fill back there! Our forecast is 4"-8" tonight.. I look forward to the return of that green grass!
WHAT wood stacks? I don't see no wood stacks (first pic). (Second pic) - now, that's more like it! Nice.
DexterDay , Beautiful pics sir-and pardon my conditioned/trained eyes if you don't mind-2nd pic rear right, that looks like a heckuva pile of wood? Yours, neighbors, sawmill= story?
Almost="yooperdave, post: 460491, member: 1287"]Nice green grass....Yeah! NICE!![/QUOTE] Almost forget what it looks like.
Yeah, it's a sawmill. They have a little bit of wood there! The pile you see in the 2nd pic is their slab wood pile that they sell as firewood. They sell a LOT of slab wood! !
The 2nd pic that Ashwatcher spoke of in my original post.. The pic I posted was just of the logs at the mill.
It was an Amish saw mill. So they use a diesel engine and lots of pulleys, cables, tracks, etc. It's rather quiet and they don't work weekends. Mainly just operate 8-10 hrs a day. But it's the hours we are gone. So it doesn't bother me none. Plus, they let my son and I hunt on their property, get slab wood really cheap, and give me a good deal on the Cants I buy for the GTG's. Overall, they have been great neighbors! The 2 oldest boys bought the house last summer. So they have since ran electric to the house, and have updated the horse carriage pulled wood box from the mill, to an electric elevator.
Took the dog out for a walk and snapped some snow pics and another shot of the neighbors place. Hard to see the wood pile bow, as people are buying it like mad!!
