With most being 14" and under? That 250 with a good RS chain and a good tune (with your muff mod). Should do the trick. I've always been a fan of a muff mod 025/250. Great saws that are underrated!

    Good luck!

    Thanks, Dex.

My buddy had to bail on the job today so it's up to me get it done now. His boss called and told him they won 2 bids for huge jobs and he's going to be on the road 70 + hours a week for the next month or so. He's already got next years wood ready so he's covered.

I need to find a notary in the morning for the liability waiver and haul a machine back to a customer but then it's off to the races. I'll try to get some pics to post if I can. Really need to make some time in the next few days dropping and limbing. It's been very warm here and all the ground is soft. Going down below zero over the weekend and that is my best chance to skid logs out so I'd like to have a bunch ready to go.

For those of us who live out of the country or may not know the acronym ADD stands for Attention Defficet Disorder.

I seriously have it. Medicined up as a kid and all. If you see me work on things to this day you can tell. Jump all around to different things. And come back to them later. Get board doing a job to long. Not a big deal just cope with it...

One of the mechanics that work for me has it as well. He's the perfect man for all the jobs that pop up and only take a few minutes. Give him an engine or trans to build and he hates it but still pushes through somehow.

My oldest has it and as a kid she had to take ritilin I think it was called. Had her meds taken out of the medicine cabinet more than once by people who are no longer friends. Apparently it gives you quite a buzz if you don't need it.

Yea I heard about people in high school and college abusing it. I quit it halfway through HS. It didnt do that to me either? I guess if your braun is wired different it does different stuff?

I also dont feel "good" on pain meds? Percoset or Loratab....just get very sleepy. Even took one too early bone time and had almost a double dose. When I take one I am still perfect clear headed and can think and it kind of makes me forget the pain...but its still there...but after about 45 mins to an hour its lights out for s few hours. Is all. No way I would pay $30 a youll or whatever those tweakers pay!!

Not sure how far down you cut rounds, but it sounds like you are going to have a lot of sticks to pile up. Could always rent a chipper to deal with the tops. Maybe can get the landowner to split cost with you as they will have some mulch to use afterwards. Just a thought.

All he has to do is pile them so they can burn them later.

Either gonna be a really, really, really big pile, or a whole bunch of smaller ones. Won't be as bad with the leaves off, but still..

I'm just reaching as I've never gotten to run a brush chipper and wish I had a project that required one! :D

My guess is with 150 trees they will have a bunch of small ones. At least 30 id say?

Got any pictures of the actual work area so we can see what you are tacking?

Its cool for about 5 minutes. Trust me the novelty of running one wears off quick.

Just got back from dropping and skidding for a few hours. Almost half the trees dropped but started getting tired and decided to skid to the center of the lot for the burn pile for a while. Dropped about 30 or 35 at about the 14" mark and the rest were smaller. Definitely going to be a lot of brush to pile but the price is right. Pics in a minute.
