My new one has Windows 10. I haven't spent enough time on it to even try some of the new features yet. :picard:Not enough time in the day.

Bonus. Windy, windy day so working on bookkeeping. Campinspecter suggests between loads in the boiler that we go out for lunch. Niiice. Came home for chocolate ice cream and now we are waiting for the Super Bowl to start. I hope our US channels will be carrying the "good" commercials.

Did anyone see Will Ferrell on Colbert's version of "The Late Show?"
Great parody of Jack Hannah's appearances when David Letterman was at the helm.
Too new for a link, as it just went off.... Hysterical stuff:rofl:

A good game last night. Great defense and good points kicking. Whole family enjoyed watching it. Kids couldn't stay up for whole thing but enjoyed. Especially the pizza and wings and desert at the beginning.

Caffiene time. Going to make a dump run this morning and get back to dirt work if it's not frozen too hard.

The wind is a howling, and after the 36 hour power outage I'm guessing we'll be out again today - expecting another 8" of snow. 5 gallons of gas added to the stash; after running the genny for 15 straight hours the other day I think I'll give her some fresh oil.

I pulled the surround plate off the insert, heats so much better that way. 3 year white oak, the stove takes off and I am throttling down a full load in about 8 minutes after a reload on a very small coal bed.

I doubt it will be a full day at work, blizzard like conditions forecast and the snow only just started. Might be a break at lunch day.

Winds expected to keep blowing all day long from 15 to 35 with higher gust. Keeping my stove rolling this week, with winter like conditions....

This is where you feel ESPECIALLY glad to have wood heat!

Hope your power comes back on soon and all those power line workers stay safe!

To clarify, we got power back on Sunday morning - I am just expecting to be down again today. Can't beat wood heat for sure. I remember 2 years back when we were without utility feed for 4 days in the winter - neighbor's house was in the 30's and our little insert kept us cruising along at like 65F minimum. Of course we had a luxury of options with the generator and I could have just used the T stat.

I printed out the dimensions for a bigger stove this morning, but under the right conditions I can keep us at 70F just needs a lot of tending to with the insert.

Should be a nice day today so we are going out to get a load of wood. The wood bin in the wood shed needs about two more loads to fill it. Day off today as it is Family Day in BC.

Visit with Dad and Mom and dump run for both of our houses done. Then brought the Kubota in the garage and checked the oil and topped off the front axle with heavy duty gear oil. Slight leak with seal on right side. Both the Kubotas I have had get these minor leaks in the seal on the right side. Some of the dirt is frozen to the point I can not work it. But I have been able to get into some of the piles and I have moved oh.... half a ten wheeler load this morning in about 1.5 - 2 hours time. This afternoon after we have lunch I should have about 4 hours to get some more done.

Windy and snowy here. The dog needs some exercise but I'm not sure if I want to take her for a walk in this stuff.

No snow here but it's getting colder. Outside walking around the school to burn off some of this dinner while kids are inside practicing basketball.

I was able to work about three hours this afternoon before the wind started to pick up and it got too cold. I would guess I moved 1.25 ten wheeler loads. It went faster before because I was filling right where they were dumping. Now I'm moving it by the bucket load a little further away. I was able to work the frozen stuff I had piled where I'm building the road around the back and then kept bringing more. Made some nice progress  and got it all smoothed off so when it freezes solid tonight it will be good to drive on tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some more done tomorrow. We will see how it goes. Getting colder.
