Not quite, but it has been falling 10" at a time, I know Wednesday morning my road hadn't been plowed and my truck was dragging bottom on the snow!
Had one big storm earlier in January and a few light snows which @ one point had us up to about 15". Then a series of warm/cold and rain storms turned the whole mess into about 3-4" of concrete which is what we are enjoying now.
We still have a good share, but a string of mid 30 days is taking its toll. We've had 44" or snow so far. Above average for us, making schlot a happy man.
No snow at all this winter. a couple of weeks of frost. Primroses are blooming and bulbs are coming up all over the place. Sounds like I am bragging, doesn't it. It would have been nice to have a couple of inches for a few days. On the hills behind us, there is snow and the ski hill south east of us has snow.
We have snow. Enough so a snowmobile just went by my window. (grand kids) All from one storm that wasn't predicted until just a day before it arrived. More predicted for Monday night into Wednesday morning and then again for Thursday. My son keeps us dug out so I have given up fretting about it. Rest of Feb and what comes in March is all that is left of this winter.
Zip. I have shoveled exactly once this winter. Or, no -- I did scrape the front walk clean one other time. Currently 45F and headed for 52 today. The birds think it's spring. I like mild weather, but I'm out of shoulder season wood and have a surplus of oak and locust!
That 3-4" concrete sure makes it easy and nice for my cutting and hauling rig... Not so good for snowmobiling though. You have to get further north in Wisconsin to get to good trails. I've never sledded in the keweenaw, I'll have to at some point.
I think I've plowed 3 times at most. I haven't been by our fire house to see the snow total but I bet it's 80-100" We've had 5 or 6 snow thaw cycles with less than 20" each. Low spots and piled snow is all that exists today One of the mildest winters we've had in many years
We had a couple flurries of 4 or 5 inches that stayed a while, and we got 10 inches Friday, and 5 to 7 coming tomorrow, still way behind.
