Black duct tape on my front bumper helped me pass last year.

 

I actually put on new wipers (not cheap ones either) 3 weeks before inspection once, and they still got rejected. Even after I showed them the receipt, they wouldn't back down. Then they miraculously couldn't be found, and the technician was on break so they couldn't find him either, when I said I wanted them returned as I was paying. Guessing an employee got a great set of wipers for their vehicle .

I believe anything that doesn't have ODB doesn't have to pass in NH - other than that you are scr*wed.

Better day today. Much less knee pain following this injection. No idea how long it will last, but any time without bad pain is good time.
Burning pellets off and on during the day. No need when the sun is shining. Amazing to watch the grandchildren play in the snow. Both the dogs right with them joining in on any thing in play.

Got the snow blowing done, went out for lunch, then to the supermarket, had a libation, then down for a nap, a light supper, watched a 1951 sci-fy classic, currently listening to some classical music. Except for the getting rid of the snow a quiet day.

 

This is why I cling to my 1995 model year trucks, they aren't required to pass the stringent emission tests. The check engine light can come on and it still passes. I only use it for occasional runs to feed stores etc.

hehe, I was typing the below when this alert came in.

Well I finished up last night with the truck repairs. It turns out the water pump was OK, I thought it was leaking out the seal, instead it was from the aluminum adapter nut for the heater hose. GM had a great idea, threading aluminum adapters into cast iron. The dissimilar metals corrode especially in contact with unbalanced ph antifreeze solutions. Almost every GM vehicle I have ever owned has had this problem. Yesterday I started to just scope out the job of replacing the water pump, I wiggled the aluminum end piece on the heater hose and it broke off with the slightest of touches right at the joint with the water pump. Keep in mind the water pump needed to be replaced anyway, but if it was for the corrosion around the 3/4 inch aluminum adapter it could have kept on going. While I was replacing the pump I thought I would replace the lower hose as it looked like an original. It took over 45 minutes to get it out and get the new one back in.

So the truck has new U joints a new water pump with a new 180* thermostat. Wow the heat that pours out of the heater box now!
