    Oak!, White Oak to be exact… It thrives in sandy/wet soils down here. At least it sure looks like it!

    Hmm, looks like maple. Norway maple.

    Yeah, like just like mine in my yard I'm starting at now. That small limb the mega round is on sure looks like Norway maple to me.

    That piece of maple is not related to the tree trunks.

    What little bark remaining resembles White Ash or American Elm,but the slightly interlocked torn grain reminds me of American Elm also.
