Humorously ad libbing Walter Cronkite, Robbin Williams as Adrian Cronauer (GMVN) said, "...what is, what was, what it shall be."

So... hypothetically speaking... if I came up with a low budget alternative to high priced houses of ill repute... could I advertise here?

Flipping houses, lipstick on a pig. I wish I could say I was never part of that, those days are over though

There was a lot of guys that did the lipstick on a pig approach in flipping houses. Unfortunate but a lot of those guys also went away in the big market drop.

My dad is who i learned my trades from. As a contractor you do what the guy with the money tells you to do. The guys doing "Quick flips" definately are too afraid to be doing it in the market the way it is now. However it has made room and buying easier for good outfits. Right now pops is working with a group who does NICE flips. Many houses get gutted, floor plans changed, mechanicals swapped out.... Its like buying a new home on alot of them.

I've been hanging out some over there. It's a great group so far. I'm not sure you will find a place with more collective chainsaw knowledge. There seems to be a concerted desire to ditch most of the junk that has doomed Another Site. Bruce (Gentleman) the site owner is good people, and I've always gotten good service from hlsupply. Having said all that, here is where I hang my hat. If I have a chainsaw question I will look there second, after I ask here first of course.

This a a great community, but this site has very little technical information. If you need to diagnose an issue with a saw or get "how to" tips on how to fix one, this site lags far behind others on the 'net. I made new contacts and acquaintances when I joined this site, I plan to do the same on the OPEForum site.

Yea I know I dont think they mind mentions of other forums except one place...think they said no more mentions.

But I see enough links and references to CSR site that I know they dont care about other forum links.

Thats true, and most buyers are smart enough to check out the house either themselves or an inspector to look for things like you are talking about. A good investor will take care of all the issues as they find them and not try to hide it, usually comes back to bite if they are covered up.

Yah just ask Goat over there. I think he just cuts and pastes' quotes from assorted drivel online. Hundreds of postings about essentially nothing. But he has a greater chance at that saw....

I don't mind other forums at all, I've bought some stuff from HLSupply as well, good folks..

But I have enough work trying to keep up with this place, I enjoy the family we've become so I doubt I'll spend too much time over there.....lol.
