Let me just say that I really appreciate the kindness and the help I have received since becoming a member of the Firewood Hoarders Club. Without the generosity I have encountered here I would not be as far along in my endeavour to be a wood burner as I am now. I am very grateful for all I have received. Big Hugs to everyone.

I am guessing your hearth project is postponed till your new problem is fixes? What a bummer if floor under the hearth was bad too and it started sinking? Did you turn off the water valves in there yet?

Hey, did you winterize the outside hose valves? That could cause freezing, maybe all the way to underneath where your leak is?

No, I need to get this chimney finished, hearth constructed, and the stove installed. The bath will have to wait.

For me it is to finish the chimney, hearth, and get the stove installed. Then when I have a warm house, I can tear the toilet apart.
