And that's why they keep calling us back. Good service providers are hard to find. Business wise, you gotta love a generation who doesn't own a screwdriver or want to manually do anything.

Yep. Hunter fans aren't what they once were. I'll say that much. At one point, they were lifetime warranty.

Glad you got it figured out buddy! We had a transformer blow up on the pole across the street and it surged our house last spring. Long story short, it smoked both my living room ceiling fans (expensive ones).

After doing some research I found that the problem was the receiver units in the fans, they are very prone to surges and are a weak link. After studying and figuring out what I needed to do, I found the proper receiver replacements but they didn't have reverse. So I searched and found a capacitor/reverse unit that saddled up with the aftermarket receivers.

Finally got them working again, after several months.......

I sell a lot of interior goods including ceiling fans. We have a brand of fans that have a lifetime warranty and still have had a few not work right out of the box. Then you have to think backwards...
Is it installed correctly? Bad socket/ bad electrical connection to the light kit? Was it damaged in shipping from the distributor? Was it damaged in transit from China? Did the kid assembling the thing not get paid that day and left a loose connection or screw or two out of somewhere important? All end with the thing is not working right and it pizzes you off no matter a simple fix or a replacement.

    One of my first thoughts.
