I try to get outside every day.
Good clothing is important for the sub zero days.
Live & work in it, it's not bad. If you're in it a lot, you get
climatized for it. Same for the hot climates, your body adjusts.

The media sensationalizes it to make headlines.
There'd be dead bodies lining the streets if the media was right.
I change the channel or turn them off when they start talking down to viewers .

The watches should start popping up in NYS, ice jams & flooding. Those areas that received 2 - 4 feet of snow will be pushing 50 on Saturday.

    30° here

I forgot how good it was to load the stove at 9 pm every night
Past week + , 1 full load is lasting a full day.
Averaged 32° day time temps & 25° nights. Could get to like those kind of winter temperatures.

Some single digit nights forecast for this week. Teens day time.
We get 4 weeks of these temp, & hopefully it'll be a mild winter from there on out .
Feb 15, we're up to over 9 hours (gaining 5-1/2 min/day)& the sun is up to 16° & we start feeling some heat.
Of course, winter can hammer use thru Feb with some brutal cold
but typically it starts to snow mid Feb thru mid March.

I work for a school district. I was out shoveling off and on for at least 4 1/2 to 5 hrs. in 25 below wind chills. I'll be 60 in June and I came thru it just fine. People need to stop listening to the newscasters anb get out there and experience life.

H e double toothpick, I've walked to school up hill both ways with the real temperature not the wind chill garbage at that 25 below figure.

Molasses was making so much progress that it was also going uphill:p.

The media is full of folks that haven't seen a real winter, after all, sitting in a studio with those high wattage lights hitting them it must seem like it is always at least 70 degrees:whistle:.

Crazy weather for sure. Was in the teens a few days ago,
now 56F and windy/raining like it's May. Messed up.
Would love a good dose of sun with these warm temps.

45 degrees with some strong winds and heavy rains, the freakin mess is getting bigger.

I can't wait until it changes to snow.

Glad someones having normal weather. It's going to
be in the 40's and 50's until Thursday according to weatherman.
Sun is out, snow is pretty much gone except little piles around, and
the ground is drying up quick from the wind. Decent day for Jan 12th I'll take it.
