When it came to shoveling it was. It would wet the shovel then the dry stuff on top would stick. Trying to use the shovels plow and scrape was heavy work too. The blower coped with it pretty well. Added some heft so you could cast the snow a decent distance. Gave the auger, impeller and chute a good dousing with teflon spray so not too much sticking.

It's just one of those things that needs and gets done. Nary a day goes by in winter that the shovel isn't picked up at least once.

Good idea with the teflon. I used WD-40 on the shovel.

I was wondering if you had given it a coating!
The snow blower I have (john deere) is kinda tired and I don't use it unless I really have to. It doesn't throw very far but still works wellish and runs great enough.

Oh great! Not only the coating on the snow blower, but also on the shovel!! There are those on this site just waiting for the cahnce to condemn such a intentional un-thought out wanton polluting act like that!!

Why yes, that too. More so. But there is some of the same here.

Just start a thread about using engine drain oil in your chain saw bar!!

I try to remember to keep the shovels outside too so they are cold. Impressive job FB! I've done the same more times than I can count but have had machines for the last 8-10 yrs.

Car wax works pretty well too. This snow was sticky though yesterday.

Here's a few from today while I was digging out.

This is from the inside yesterday.

    P1020046.JPG

And here is the same window from outside.

    P1020054.JPG

I never took down the frame for the pop-up that we put on the patio. Looks a little twisted but I don't think anything is bent. That's a grill on the left.

Now I'm going to turn to my left and look up alongside the house. I couldn't get the snowblower to go through it so it was shovel time. That's a yardstick in the corner.

Notice how there is no snow in the pine trees out front. The wind kept it from settling on the needles.

    P1020053.JPG

And we have breakthrough to the driveway! I'll clean it up a little better tomorrow and probably try to push those piles back a little farther.

Just to the right of the center tree is a little black speck. That's the tip of the mailbox.

That is not me lol, That is the town. To much snow for the plows, so they were using skid steers, bobcats, and snow blowers mounted on the back of tractors! I wish I had one, but only a snowblower for me. The snowblower actually broke again, so a buddy of mine came over with a john deere with a bucket and cleaned out the parking pad for me! The house completely drifted is a elderly neighbor, and it took forever for them to dig her out!

I understand that, I am disabled so If I moved all that snow I would be wearing a toe tag   In all seriousness, were going to have to go look at snowblowers soon, this 10 year old craftsman keeps breaking on me every time I need it:hair:
