First they were yapping about snow here on Tuesday. Now they say rain.

Put my oldest back on a bus to Potsdam today which doesn't look all that far from you. He's lucking out weather wise in his first season up north, so far anyway.

I'm about 3 1/2 hrs north of Potsdam. Hasn't been much of a winter up here by our standards for sure.

It was deep, I don't trust any amounts though, I could measure 5-40" of you wanted

I took motrin before I started, and wrapped my lyphedema arm up, and put the brace on the other one that tends to get tendonitis.
Yeah, watched the 20 year old neighbors struggling with snow blowers on their 50 ft driveways, while the senior citizen shoveled out her 400 ft drive.
I gotta get me one of them snow blowers...:dex:

So true! When you are accustomed to getting months worth of snow, you know how to deal with it.....as opposed to the occasional storm every few years!

    Ho hum.....

I finally took a drive today. Lots of people even struggling with their big snowblowers.

Even the snowblowers don't perform well in heart attack snow.

There was a wet layer under it all. Blower functioned great but it was working hard.

I should like one with a small footprint, self-propelled, can handle AT LEAST 20", and is easy start. With a two year warranty. Not asking that much.

If I haden't kept up plowing with the Grizzly, I'd be shoveling. There was one area I wanted to clear that waited until after the storm and I had to chip away a 54"x10ft section and it took twenty minutes. Pushed the top, at a good speed, get stuck, wiggle the Grizzly to get out, repeat.

Sue, I can't believe you shoveled that much and that long! Some type of award for that I would think!

Nah, just patience and pacing. Besides, I gotta get out to get to work! Last time we had this much snow, it took all day, as well. I was planning on taking tomorrow off, but the Guv gave us a free day.
And I kind of think of it as a free gym workout.
