    92cc vs 76cc with the same bar/chain/log,
I gotta believe the 660 would win, maybe not by much but...

Better question. . Why not? You have a 230? Why? Because you wanted it? Correct?

They ain't much, but my 55 will be arriving shortly. I bought it under construction. Needed a new intake block (stripped). He offered to fix it.

Why did I buy it? Called CAD. And now, I have more trading items. My 036 Pro will now be going up in the Classifieds. I "Need" a MS 440 now. I would "Love" to trade my mint 036 Pro for a nice MS 360.

    360
    440
    441
    460

    Sounds good ;)

    Sounds really good .

    I think you'll be surprised.

Dual port on the 460 and it's a race ;)

You need some ported ones. I think a ported 460 and 440 would make you forget that 441 unless it's ported. I've got a great running 357 now at home.

Nope. I'm babysitting the 230. And don't be raggin' on my Mom's saw now..........

The 230 hardly ever goes out. I much prefer the 261.

Did you get that 357xp runnin?

It had potential. But looked rough. I hope it wasn't a money pit to get going.

It's the truth brother. Mom bought it and maybe ran two tanks through it. It got sent to saw camp after she moved north so that it gets used on occasion rather than letting it rot in a closet somewhere.

How about a 660 vs 460 both running the 25" same bar and chain buried in a log?? Gotta see if it's true that a 460 will be just as fast as a 660.[/quote]

My buddy has a 660. I'll do a race with him at some point vs the 441 and get video on my youtube channel. Not sure when, but I'll do it. I don't know how much quicker he'll get through. He's running a 32 inch vs my 25, so it may be more a level playing field than the same size bar

I would think the chain sharpness would have a big impact on that race.

That's why we need to see the same bar and chain on each saw.:)

Put the same bar/chain on them no matter which one it is.

Run your 25" on both saws for that one. I think you're gonna be real proud of the 441 afterwards.....

Nice.. Ain't nothing wrong with a 290! That's a good saw. A Muff mod, and a re tune and that's a good 50cc class saw

Still waiting on my 55 Rancher ;) We had arrangements made for the previous owner to fix it, but we decided it's best to send it to me and I will fix it (intake block is stripped, common problem on those saws).

I had a Rancher back in '05, can't remember if it was a 55 or a 50 but, it was a decent saw. ok power(bone stock) and very light with an 18" on it.

I had a 066 and my 460 and ran them side by side in the same 22" maple. The 066 had 24" bar and 8 pin, the 460 had a 28" bar and 7 pin. Both saws were stock with dual port covers and well tuned with Stihl rsc full skip chain. The 460 was slightly faster, had way less vibes and was a lot nicer to handle. The 066's only advantage was that it could be pushed harder. I have since sold the 066 in favor of the 460. The 066/0660's are best with 32" bar and can run a 36" ok I'd rate the 460 as best with a 28" bar and can run a 32" ok. For two pounds extra you get 4" of bar to run. I've gone with a 395 to run a 36" bar with less vibes as well as better balance.
If I were to chose between a 460 and 441, I'd go 460 or 461. The 441 i ran was too big and springy feeling with decent torque but not really impressive. But then if I had to run them for six or eight hours straight several days in a row, I might lean to the better AV of the 441.
