Total white out conditions here. Been plowing since 2am and just about keeping up with it. My trucks lit up like a Christmas tree and I'm still having a hard time seeing more than 50ft. :binoculars:

I'm in Howard. Right now we probably have around 14". I shoveled the driveway around 10pm. Snow was 6" then.

Definitely >12" here in southern Lebanon county, drifting around so hard to tell exactly. Still accumulating... Fire in the stove. Wife and I taking turns wrastlin' the snow blower (8 hp Ariens, pull start, no power steering :loco: )

14" so far here in Johnstown PA. Yesterday National Weather Forecast said 4-8". Today they gave us an upgrade, now forecasting 18-24"

18" + here in Chester County PA. Cleared the ultra steep driveway with the beast snowblower and a path around the house for the dogs, and my wife shoveled the front walk (awesome!). Still pouring snow but not too much wind. Came in for a little break and saw one of the stoves went out. Well, it's due for the monthly cleaning anyway... Think I'll tackle that then maybe some paperwork and a nap. Then back to the snowblower. Supposed to snow 'til midnight.

Just got home, was in since 3am… We got it handed to us!!! we had some 65mph winds, flood tides, trees down, broken up docks, flooded vehicles, destroyed awnings, broken windows, ripped off gutters and roofs, snapped off light poles and this list goes on…

It's now raining with ice pellets hitting like bullets. Temps gonna drop again then snow after 6pm, :hair: Back to work again at 7pm.

Yep, people in stores before a snowstorm more or less lose their minds. Blind panic.

Here the word is 12 inches to a foot. Well, I guess there are 12" in a foot everywhere really. :D Seriously, 5"to 8" with drifts. Picked up some gasoline to have on hand for the blower and generator, loaded ~ one cord of wood onto the enclosed porch to feed the stove and stopped by the liquor store and picked up 4 boxes (no typo.: there was a sale and I grabbed 4, 5- liter boxes) of wine and a bottle of Balvenie Doublewood. People were pretty nuts in the liquor store too, sadly. So I should be able to ride this one out in comfort, even if the gas is bad or the machinery won't start: I will just turn to the beverages and will not really care.... Hey, it is a plan- might not be a great plan but it is a plan.

My son is headed for a couple of feet in northern VA. He refuses to be concerned with any of this and does not believe it will really amount to anything significant. Sort of like not believing in Santa I guess- he does not believe he could be snowed- in apparently. ??

Yuk, well we have a word for what you got, but I won't write it in here. :zip:
Hope you got some of your chicken stew and have some time to rest up a bit. Keep dry and safe.

20-24" locally, still coming down. Nice full load of black birch in the stove. Sauerkraut and sausage cookin' for dinner. Wife, dogs and cat, all safe and sound. Gonna dig out the snow shoes for walking the dogs later.

We're at 20" or more. Drifts much higher. The dog loved it. The munchkin had mixed feelings about the whole thing. I cleared an area, leaving a few inches of snow. He wouldn't walk in it but made me hold him and run around. VZM.IMG952016012395151959.jpg

We got almost 1/2"!!!! After what felt like continuous news coverage, and schools being called off, and traffic was REALLY light Friday so I assume a ton of people even took off work, it snowed a full 0.5" maybe around 8:00 PM.

I'm pretty disappointed, I was looking forward to taking my daughter sledding today.
