The last I saw they had moved it up to starting around 4 am. I will be in the bed at that time watching the insides of my eyelids.
Yeah you know it! Ive found so many times in our area that we will get a 40 cm snow fall and it wont even come through on a warning and when we get a warning we get 10 cm. Hope you all stay safe and warm!
I just heard over 24 inches now. I'll have to clear out a spot for him to play. Actually I may have to do it for the dog too. There will be a few pics.

Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. Do not travel. If you must travel... have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded... stay with your vehicle. Prepare for the possibility of power outages during snowy and cold conditions.
Similar to mine but the winds are NORTH 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 65 MPH . I am prepared for multiple days without power.
I'm a little farther inland so our forecast is for 6"-12" and 20-30mph winds starting between 4 and 8 tonight. Yesterday I brought a few wheelbarrow loads of wood into the garage and put the plow on the truck.
Snowfall has been light here and fine so not seeing a lot of accumulation but the roadways are white. They messed up, they put the brine solution on the roads for that first light snow and it washed off yesterday so no brine for the major storm; the roads are going to be a mess.
Snow is supposed to start here in an hour or two. Filled the basement again this morning. And put a good bit under the deck right oustide the basement door. Put more on the other side, then decided to get all of our outdoor furniture under cover too. Fully expecting to be without power given the wet snow and wind so I am ready to cook on the wood stove!
The winds have been light here. Probably won't see power lost if it stays like this. If the power did go out, I would have to build a campfire for cooking.
That would get our attention here in Maine that's for sure. Wow. Hell, it's not even going to snow here and people are beyond freaked out at the stores. Stay home and stay safe FF.
Those are not people Stinny , they are sheeple. Too dumb to actually ignore the hype and and see that forecast has them hundreds of miles from any snowfall.
The storm is really here now, snowing heavily and piling up on the ground fast. I thought maybe they had gotten the forecast wrong but it just had not reached here yet.
The storm is getting noticed out west now and getting coverage on the news in BC. Before bed last night they were calling for up to just over 2 feet near New York and now Im hearing thats been increased to 2 1/2 feet! Temperature doesn't sound like the problem but heavy wet snow stranding people and bringing down power lines does! Stay warm and safe!
Hopefully you won't have to deal with that. Where I am they are calling for 30-40 mph winds tomorrow, which combined with feet of wet snow, will bring down many trees I'm sure. DC has a blizzard warning but we are further west but we'll still see heavy wind tomorrow.
Update, getting snow pellets mixed in with the snow. I call them them snow pellets, not sure what the actual term is for them; the snow melts some and refreezes but it does not melt completely into liquid and then freezes into sleet; so I call them snow pellets. Anyway, the snow pellets will help to reduce the depth of the snow but it packs it more solidly on the roadways.
