That's surprising. Matt from Fahrenheit made it seem that all led panels were being recalled.

Yeah we know, he tried and was told he already had a upgrade done so didn't qualify for the LCD control board!?!?
I tried too but was told only the auto ignition models qualified from#2566.

I believe all the LED panels were replaced. Mine was done not long after the original owner purchased it. I forgot what the reason was for the replacement. I think it had something to do with power circuitry.

The only time I touch the panel on mine during the season is once every couple weeks when I shut it down for cleaning and re-lighting. The most often pressed button is the 'manual auger' button when lighting it. The thermostat handles the rest. That said, some of the extra options would be nice, especially being able to select what heat level it runs on when the thermostat calls for heat.

Yeah, still a bit PO'd about that. I'd like to call BS but can't really argue with them about it. They say my stove has had the recall done and there isn't much I can do about it.

Well would like to know for sure. He told me mine's been done, but I have an LED unit still. Not an LCD.

I'd love to get a LCD control panel, but the cost isn't worth it to me. I'd be into over $600 CDN by time I purchased it. I was really hoping mine would qualify for the LCD upgrade but I've been told it doesn't.

Nice, so I'm in the ball park at $220 per ton. Never heard of rye seed for sale around here. Busy tomorrow but going to take a drive and pick up some corn Thursday if I have time. Thinking I'll get a 45 gallon drum. That'll last a while if I'm cutting it 50/50 with wood pellets.

Burning strictly LG's at the moment and temps are hovering in the 120* mark at level #4, not good at all. I just bump it to #5. Going down for a cleaning tomorrow. Then it's the rye seeds. My inside of firepot was black so I open up the air, strange pellets. They were fine in the Harman?

Thanks. Probably too far for me to go to buy some to try. Have to look into it though.

No, LG's are the Devil. They are absolute junk in my opinion. When I ran LG's in the Harman they burned clean, but no heat out of them.

Had mine off for a couple days while doing some work in the basement. -20 C here tonight so going to head down and fire it up to keep the basement toasty overnight.

Cleaned the furnace and fired it up with the rye seeds. Lowered the fuel setting to wheat/grain and at #3 heat level with outside temps down to -22C. House is at 23C this morning
I'm impressed with the flame height too compared to the old fan/burnpot. The modification on the furnace is bang on:thumbs:

A little ways to get them is my problem. Will have to get a trailer to make less trips. Try to figure a way to use the big tote bags for more savings but also keep out of reach for rodents/ birds.
