Wow. Surprised they let that through, but they can't all look good.

My only question is, why would you review a product you do not own and have never used?

You need to own a product to have an opinion of it?

I don't think you need to own one to have a opinion but I typically refer to a review as a opinion from someone who owns the product. Could have put in the review that you do not own the product. Do you have any M-Tronic saws? I have one and so far love it.

I hate Dodges! Had one 15 years ago so the new ones are bad!:)
I get on allrecipes.com and people will change the recipe all around and then give the original recipe a bad rating!

Putting aside whether I was qualified to write a review, if it was a good use of my time and if m-tronic is a worthy tech -- I was surprised that they would allow a somewhat negative review on their website... Most of the 'reviews' on the internet are censored or generated by the company selling the product.

I give credit to Stihl for allowing critical comments.

If you go to www.powerequipmentdirect.com you will see that they do allow negative feedback.

I'm not fully sure what M-Tronic does or how it does it. My little 441 is a good product from what I can see so far. I've never owned any other 70cc saw though.

I guess this was more of an opinion of the product rather than a review. I can understand the assumption of new tech could have reliability issues, but companies usually do things to improve a product and make it more trouble free. Having to meet EPA regs can also have an impact on design and function. Hey, even American cars are getting more reliable. JMO.

Would you feel better if I called my comments a 'secondary peer review of the literature'?

I've had that happen on idling. I have to give the throttle a "blip" as I'm picking it up.

If it's a m-tronic I'd complain to your dealer and see if they can fix it.

If it came with a screwdriver I'd say turn the L screw CCW about a 1/8 of a turn.

I personally didn't think you comment in the review was really negative. The impression it gave me was you were happy with the old technology & didn't see the need for the new.

Some have to have every new thing to come out & others like your self are happy to stay with what has been working for them in the past.
