Even though I popped another disc in my back a few weeks ago I still have to try. Work comes in very short spurts though. Yesterday I took the saw and cut a few logs. Today I hauled part of them out. Couldn't do much but really felt good to be out there trying. Weather forecast says it should be fantastic cutting weather for the next week so I surely wish I was in better shape as I could get a lot done. But, we'll do what we can. In the meantime, thank God for Percocet. First picture shows some of what I did yesterday and now ready to load up. Dray is loaded and ready to haul out. Pickeroon on top of load. You can even see a chain dangling off the rear of the atv. I had to pull the logs to the dray as there was not enough room to get the dray next to the logs. Ready to unload. That's all I could take for today. No, I didn't do all this today.
Geez Dennis, you say "another disc" like it's nothin? You need to take it easy brother! I envy your work ethic bud. That's an impressive haul for a guy hurtin like you
Well Smokin, there are so many bad ones back there it seems one after another. Waiting to have another MRI then decide whether to do anything about it or not. Till then, more percocet. Hate taking the stuff but the only way I can get anything done.
Take it easy on yourself! No sense in layong yourself up indefinitely. Slow and steady is the way to be. I'm a youngin' (32) and the processing whoops me!!
Denis, you want that back to heal, it has to rest. I bet you can stay busy just working on your get together. I have seen backs heal just as well with rest as with intervention. Of course all are not the same, but generally, rest is best! Just plan some of that wood stuff into your get together. My guess is that the gang will jump right on it.
Yes, I'm sure they will. I still plan on hauling out logs so as to be ready for guys who want to run the saws. They can buck it up and then we'll get it split that day too. I also have one pile already bucked and I'll leave that for the guys who want to run splitters. It is mostly oak and one cherry. Here are a couple pictures as we were piling up the wood to be split. Since then we've added part of a third row whit the cherry we cut. Of course not all that oak needs split but I just decided to pile it all together for the time being.
